I think I like Kristen Kish as host. Padma was always pretty cold.

I would have been happy with any of the three as winner.

I do the same with any agent. Treat for 2 years then try off. If relapse, then another 2 years. #NephJc I don’t think there’s great data. Just seems a good balance of risk.

Good news! I’m 742nd in line on Libby for the audiobook. #NephJC

Same. For FRNS/SDNS I’ll start with MMF or Rituximab depending on family choice. #NephJC

Exactly. No 16 year old wants a hairy back to go with her tank tops. #NephJC

Low risk of tac balanced out by real risk of infection and thrombosis in uncontrolled nephrotic syndrome. People forget that 80-90% of these kids died pre-steroid. #NephJC

#NephJC Teenagers will take tac ok but cyclosporine is a no go. I remember the pre-tac transplant days when teenage girls would just stop their CSA because they hated it so much.

#NephJC I’m not convinced these are different groups from a pathophysiology standpoint. SDNS and FRNS act the same with response to treatment.

#NephJC Sorry I’m late. Will catch up. It’s for a good cause (I’m out for date night with the husband)

I’m glad these head to head studies are being done, but it still doesn’t change my mind to start with MMF over tac. Better tolerated overall and results almost as good. #NephJC

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow. The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.
