I think e-bikes used for commercial purposes ie food and grocery delivery should be taxed, display license plates like other motor vehicles and the riders also required by law to be licensed and insured.

Zia Yusuf is a Rejoiner after all. What a shambles. What a joke Reform are.

I support bringing back National Service. For the over 50s.

Ursula von der Leyen speaks about Erasmus and young people traveling throughout the EU to learn and discover "Our task is to ensure that people realise how our respective traditions and characteristics are part of a greater whole" "And that this is precisely the core of our European identities"

Currently stranded just outside St Pancras on #Thameslink train heading north. Power failure between Luton and St Pancras. The driver has left the train. Apparently we are going to reverse back to St Pancras. Not sure how I will get home !

Nigel Farage Is Voters' Last Choice To Be Prime Minister, Poll Shows “When asked to choose between Davey and Farage, 41% of the public supported the Lib Dem leader while 27% backed his Reform UK counterpart.” #EdDavey #LibDems 🔶🔶🔶 #NigelFarage www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/nigel-...

Chat GPT's interpretation of UK economic growth inside and outside the EU I guess that makes Labour's policy of keeping the UK outside the EU Single Market the blockers to economic growth

I do think a big part of the centre left's problem right now is treating "ordinary people" as somewhat scary subjects for anthropological study.

Something fishy about this sob story (1) The photos are stock shots taken in 2012 and 2014, available from Shutterstock and Alamy—links below. (2) There’s no trace of bankers Al and Alexandra Moy anywhere other than the Telegraph 🤔 www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/... www.alamy.com/stock-photo-...

It is pacifist appeasement nonsense like this that worries me deeply about the Green Party bylinetimes.com/2025/05/08/g...

Asked this weekend, 66% of Britons said they supported a closer relationship with the EU, and 53% said they supported rejoining the EU yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

Now more than ever European democracies should work together. Brexit was and always will be a bad idea. Now moving closer is key. The EU-UK summit is an important step for that. One thing remains clear: The UK belongs to our European family. 🇪🇺❤️🇬🇧

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte: "Russia is at an enormous pace reconstituting itself. They are producing ammunition at a level which has not been seen in recent decades. They produce four times as much ammunition as the whole of NATO is producing as we speak.Their whole economy is on a war footing"

Labour's biggest threat is now Lib Dems Sky news analysis of yougov persuasion, UK poll

We beat the Conservatives at the local elections. Now we're ahead in today's YouGov poll. Liberal Democrats are on track to overtake the Conservatives at the next General Election.

Brexit hasn't been betrayed. The British people have not been betrayed. The betrayal was Brexit. Once that is the established narrative, we can all go forward together.

Six milestones, five missions, three foundations … Starmer loves a list. Here’s one for him to take to the EU-UK summit this weekend:

I’ve been thinking about Starmer’s “Island of Strangers” remark I don’t need to be the same colour as someone to be their friend. I don’t need to worship the same god as them to call them my brother Yes we have challenges but the UK is an Island of Families, Friends and Neighbours, not Strangers

Just arrived at my local hospital. It’s packed with immigrants. They are treating patients, manning reception desks, and serving food to visitors. Is this the “island of strangers” that Keir Starmer denounces? Why are Labour so afraid to recognise the contributions made by migrants to our country?

Beginning to understand Labour's deeply ingrained fear of coalition government. If you make concessions this easy and this big with a 170-seat majority, that coalition agreement is basically just going to be a reprint of the Lib Dem manifesto.

This is a rude, undignified, unnecessary reply. It's not witty. It's not funny. I note Rachel Reeves is laughing. And Angela Raynor is not.

Corruption

According to Reform, “Woke flags” apparently include flags representing: - English counties - UK Armed Forces - NATO - Ukraine Reform. What a bunch of muppets. www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/202...

When will @lewisgoodall.com realise that he is part of the problem in relentlessly focussing on Farage and Reform and repeatedly ignoring the relentless progress made by the LibDems? podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/t...
