Would a battle royale between a golden retriever and a sprinkler head fit the bill?

So when we are driving and someone cuts us off, and we swear at them to blow off the startlement and help return our attention to the road, are we ... motolalochezists?

You mean the one with PLICHE/N? Yeah I lost interest after a while. My secret to spelling bee is, I accepted my attention span and frustration level are finite, so I just do it until I stop having fun.
The crossword, though, gets a speed run every day.

“The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) remains unwavering in our support for transgender and gender-diverse youth and their access to the same standard of compassionate, evidence-based care as every other child."
Call me old-fashioned, but I tend to trust doctors on medical issues. (3/3)

"To be clear—regardless of today’s legal ruling—the science still supports gender-affirming care, children will still need it.
“Nothing in this decision explicitly bans such care. (2)

One day here in Berlin, there was no one on the road. It was a public holiday or something. I looked both ways, verified that the street was empty, and started crossing. A child, probably younger than ten, scolded me for crossing on red. All I could do was go "you know what, you're right."

Oop--he now has been charged by federal prosecutors on six counts.

The federal charges COULD be capital.*

NYT answers the question: it is because first-degree murder in Minnesota requires a grand jury indictment. They will probably upgrade the charges. Murder 1 = mandatory life w/o parole. The killer will also probably face federal murder charges, which are capital.

In that light, I don't know which is worse, this use of Fortunate Son or Paul Ryan's statement that Rage Against The Machine was his favorite band. He at least seemed to have a couple more brain cells to rub together than a lot of the current jackwagons.

Thank you for spreading the news.
I see he has been charged with *second*-degree murder. In other words, not premeditated. Do you or anyone have any notion why? Could it be that they knew they had enough to make that charge stick, and plan on upgrading the charge once the evidence is sorted?

Goddammit I did a presentation on why that song was a protest song in history class in about 1997. I wasn't even old enough to vote yet. And I still understood it.
But then, same thing routinely happens with Born In The USA, and that hasn't changed, so.

Yeah I might have been too young and it went over my head, too. I wasn't exactly reading long-form investigative reporting back then.

I didn't even hear about it until the last few years. Like, never saw a mention of that whole angle, at least none clear enough that I picked up on it.

More on today's wardrobe choice: Captain America and the shield image were created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Both were Jewish New Yorkers. Both grew up poor and/or working class. Both were the sons of immigrants. They knew what America could and should be. That's the America I love.

And then there's the time a distinguished gent with sunglasses on gently bumped me while leaving a Johnny Marr + the Healers concert. Zak Starkey was on drums, and I think his dad was rumored to be there. Ever since, I have chosen to believe that I got jostled by Ringo Starr.

Also, outside a party at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, Kate Winslet brushed past me while departing with a modest entourage.
