I'm eating in a restaurant that's been open so long Emile Zola, Paul Verlaine, Rodin, Colette, and the Lumière brothers ate here. Jules Verne ate here, for god's sake.

Where I'm calling from.

Living in a world where Trump/maga is possible, where popes are still a thing, is like finding yourself in the middle-ages and being the only person not suffering the hallucinogenic and violently paranoid effects of ergot poisoning. Alice in Dementedland. I have to pinch myself sometimes.

Does anyone know if there's a way to block all mentions of a person apart from obituaries?

I loved this when I read it back then.

"James Bond's long-serving producers give control to Spectre."

‘We’re projecting into the future’: sounds of BBC Radiophonic Workshop made available for public use

I've been eyeing up this monster at my local record shop for about 18 months. Today I gave in. Probably my fav opera. The record shop is literally a couple of streets away from where part of the opera is set. The opera texts are by a 13-year old #autistic kid. No-brainer, really. #minimalism #ASD

Even photos of cabbage leaves looked like movie stars in the 1920s and 30s. #photography

#NowPlaying "The Man and The Journey" by Pink Floyd at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, 17/09/1969. It was supposed to have been an official release but was pulled in favour of Ummagumma.

🌼Hi USA: If you're not too busy today, do you think you could do something about your oligarchic fascist coup? If you're not sure which one I mean, it's the one going on right beneath your nose; the one led by those dangerous, hubristic incompetents threatening (inter)national stability. Thanks! 🙏 🌺

#NowPlaying Almost 40 years old. Forty. Four-Tee. #soundtrack #cinema

Moon vs tiny house. Slightly bonkers photos I took a while back. Shame I messed up the exposure time. #photography

#NowPlaying I love Wojciech Kilar's scores for darker films. His score for Bram Stoker's Dracula is better than the film. #soundtrack #vinyl

Monty Python predicting #AI 'art'. 'Why AI Didn't Paint the Last Supper.' youtu.be/l9Aj7W3g1qo?...

Not normally a fan of Kandinsky, but I like this one. It looks like the poster for a Soviet film about a punk surfer who eats a magic avocado that sends him travelling through time and space to an alternate dimension where it's polite to greet people by inserting pizza into their backside.

I'm at that age where I can wake up in the morning to find that, overnight, I've inexplicably grown a single eyebrow hair that's about two feet long. The speed of its emergence, coupled with its defiantly contradictory angle of growth, smacks of mutiny; an act of bodily insurrection.

I was asked by my teacher to go outside to clean the blackboard chalk dusters by clapping them together. The furious deputy headmaster came storming out and screamed at me, his spittle spraying, that I was doing it all wrong and how could I be so thick?

Maybe time to re-pitch #Scarfolk?

Pun-gent (noun): A male comedian who never showers.

I just dragged the image through various graphic filters and it seems to me that there are some potential anomalies regards light direction and the shaded area contrasts between the two aerial objects, with the caveat that the relative distances between photographer/UFO/plane are not known.

#NowPlaying Krzysztof Penderecki's musique-concrète score for the 1965 film Rękopis znaleziony w Saragossie (The Saragossa Manuscript). Not the sanest choice for a Tuesday morning. #soundtrack #cinema

Nobody:... Neurodivergent brain at 4am: Recreate the block of flats from the 1969 kids' TV series Mary Mungo & Midge, exclusively as a vector graphic, complete with them waving from the window. Make every flower accurate. Do it do it do it do it do it... #illustration #graphics #TV #art #ASD #ADHD
