I cut the reporters a little slack. If they have data at hand and use it against him, he throws them out. I'd like to see them take the chance and make him blow a couple of blood vessels, but maybe it's better if they just go back to their desks and report that he lied earlier (again.)

Thanks for catching that. 👍

Where are the men in white coats when you need them?

The lines between public and private sectors are disappearing. Government officials refuse to divest their stocks or ownership of companies, and they freely give each other favors that were once illegal. And Trump talks about a deep state!

I've got a tip for you... if you don't have eggs. When you are baking something like pancakes that calls for an egg, as a binder, you can substitute a couple of prunes run through a blender until creamy. Combine them with the wet ingredients, and they don't leave a flavor, but work just as well.

The greatest lesson a recruit can learn from the Tuskegee Airmen was that those men were discriminated against terribly, but they went far beyond what was expected of anyone else to prove themselves. And the result was the best imaginable air cover for our bomber groups during the war.

How can the Defense Dept. defend itself from the likes of Hegseth?

Separation of church and State? Not with a conservative majority in the Supreme Court. It's not in their DNA.

I get e-mails all the time from govt. agencies, or go into their message centers and see advice about such things. It seems like a general rule of thumb that anything you get from "a legit agency" about money should come to you in the form of a letter, unless you've opted for e-mails.

This comes just as Putin, for the first time, signals he's ready to talk to the US about a deal. Seems all too coordinated.

I have a clearer understanding of this "targeted operation" now, but even though they only detained just under 10% of the people they picked up, it was still meant to be taken by those who were detained for even a short time as a terrifying experience. It's like beating someone to death.

I think there would be bipartisan support to oppose any attempts by Russia, to the point Alaska would be another Ukraine.

Watching the video, it was apparent that Trump knew she was talking about him, and he sat there making his famous facial gestures that serve to illuminate his pig ignorance.

January 6th, 2021 was our Alamo. Remember the 6th.

He didn't just block Trump. He ripped him a new one.

Perhaps Capitol Security is beginning to wonder just what they're protecting. Just not paying attention to things like they used to.

What the Commander in Thief is trying to do is turn the Armed Forces into a form of Praetorian Guard, but he doesn't seem to recall the rest of the story.

I think it's fair to say that the gloves are off now. Trump has removed all bans against violent political activity. They've let people out who Trump condemns in his lies about other countries sending criminals to invade the US. Some of these Jan. 6th thugs are getting good govt. jobs as rewards.

I've told others that there is no excuse for doing something that the average 10 yr. old would know not to do under any circumstance.

Don't be too disheartened. Hitler and Mussolini only lasted about 12 or 13 years each during their prime, and their countries were left in ruins. Trump won't be so lucky. His time will be shorter, and this country won't be left in "utter ruins." There is a little bit of hope left.

An interesting opinion piece today suggests it is possible that he didn't mean it the way it looked, but he's an adult and should have known better than to do something that stupid. I know children who would never make that mistake. His time in the spotlight needs to be over... now!

She respects the beliefs of ancestors, even if not completely sharing in them. The cowrie shells also bring to mind the look of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's lace collar.

Everything else aside (as rotten as it it...) it looks like Vance has almost got that Pence-adoration routine down. He stands back there looking totally approving and cautiously worshipful.

Trump seems to have it in mind to make sure Musk gets a good deal on buying TikTok. Profiteering all the way! Ethics is dead in this country.

Anyone who entertained him during his visit today is also a seditious foe, and it should not be forgotten.

Just keep asking, "Is he dead yet?"

Let's just hope that the lack of acknowledgements isn't purely due to apathy, but just the shock from not being able to understand how all this could have happened. People seem to be unable to find their voices.

Dave told them what a fan I was of the show, and they wrote a lengthy message to me with a promise they'd pass on my best wishes to Mary and Dick. I don't think I ever saw anyone so happy to give me a book, just to see the expression on my face.

Such warm memories. Decades ago, a friend of mine was in Hollywood working on a film deal, and he attended a fan con where the authors of a book about the Dick Van Dyke Show autographed a copy for me.

I'm looking forward to it.
