Apparently there's no standard format for a PhD dissertation.

This is the state of my PhD thesis. These are 4x6 cards for the quotes I've pulled so far. I'm starting on my 27th book. The craft paint bottle is for scale.

Been busy parsing Foucault's: "Madness & Civilization." I think I burned through almost 200 index cards.

Part of my thesis is on how power is a social grammar.

I went through a pack of index cards for my research in a week.

Dear Members of our Armed Forces: This is how this administration "Thanks you for your services." They're not "strong on defense." They're a bunch of rich boys who love playing soldier with other people's blood. And you and your lives mean nothing to them.

Stack on the left is what I've pulled from Wittgenstein. The right is an unopened pack of index cards for scale. I'm just over halfway through the book.

According to Wittgenstein, the core issue most at fault is the human assumption that "images and experiences of all sorts...must be present in our mind at the same time." 1/3

This will be a real thing IF Rogue Genius Games gets enough interest in the crowdfunding! The BIGGEST part of that is getting word out ... so here's my challenge to you, my friends: Help the project get 200 clicks the "I'm interested" button on the pre-launch page. www.tinyurl.com/cardgametrump

"Supposing we asked: 'How can one *imagine* what does not exist?' The answer seems to be: 'If we do, we imagine non-existent combinations of existing elements.'" Here, Wittgenstein follows up with a centaur as an example. And so it is with the iconography for the trappings of power.

Per Wittgenstein, the "obvious, and correct, answer to yhr question 'What makes a portrait the portrait of so-and-so?' Is that it is the *intention*." This is agency in its ascent form.

This happened, but it dropped to 59. Not fun.

🚨In Nature🚨 Meta is dropping fact-checking to avoid anti-conservative bias- but is there actually evidence of bias? We this test empirically & find that conservatives * ARE suspended more * BUT share more misinfo So suspension isn't necessarily evidence of bias www.nature.com/articles/s41...

I share this from my own RPG. It predates 5e and modern designs by 11 years. Either I know a thing or two about games or I have mo clue what I'm doing.

Games are used as a scapegoat because it's easier to blame a hobby that doesn't require others to be satisfying. It's seen as anti-social the way penny dreadfuls and comics were in the Victorian era and the 50s, respectively.

Weird facts you learn while writing: balsa is a hardwood.

May have corrupted an entire folder containing my RPG's player handbook. It's 260k words with of work.

Been a bit too humid in my area and my lungs are not liking it enough that I can't shake the congestion. Makes writing a bit of a chore.

I wrote nearly 800 words today. It's not a lot, but if you knew my circumstances, you would know how monumental that is for me.

Started writing again. Mostly cleaning up projects I started years ago. I hope to release something new near the start of the year. One issue is some of my graphics are trapped on an old computer that died last year.

Sometimes I do calligraphy.

If anyone sees a user named @sekoku.bsky.social, BLOCK THEM. They created a mod list dipshits to ignore for “UFOlogists and right-wingers,” but instead adds left-wingers and people not involved in UFO conspiracies in an effort to isolate us from each other and weaponize lists to be hurtful.

this, 100% also, people saying "no one asked for this" when a franchise tries to do something different, which is just *sad* to think about
