Aberdeen has recently had a campaign to call out the enemy within for moaning. Will any of those voices be turning their attention to racism? * I am a white man not a victim ...but I'm not a blind man and it's become horribly visible in our city

Spring. Duthie Park, Aberdeen

Cycling is always a great escape. I went for several hours without hearing 'his' name!

A spring day on the gravel bike on magnificent Deeside

This is awful news. Seems a pretty shameful attempt to 'protect' such an important piece of heritage. Good luck to the community in Aberlemno in efforts to keep the stone in it's home and to have it cared for properly @leftpeggers.bsky.social

I always wondered if Sunderland played a part in the AFC stadium saga. The cost/timeline is sobering: Planning approved Nov 95. £15m contract signed. 42,000 seat stadium complete in summer 97. Extended to 49,000 in 2000. Total final cost = £23m* *£54m at 2025 prices. For 2.5 x capacity we need

It would be great to see the city invest in a sporting event that could bring visitors 😲😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Teensy weensy bit of politics ... Today all 4 other members of my household became citizens of Ireland 🇮🇪 They can all now live and work in any one of 27 countries as they wish. I'll be staying in the UK enjoying the special relationship we prioritised our American cousins!

Zoe, Janet and Sally (along with friend in saltire jersey) are regular visitors to RtN from Edinburgh. However, this time settling for a visit to Almuñécar in the Spanish Province of Granada ...or more specifically to a summit 19km uphill from the Costa Tropicale! Thanks for the great picture!

Ride the North spotted in Tenerife! The now retro 'red/tartan' 2017 jersey sported by Derek Smith of cafe ride on the South coast near El Médano. Thanks Derek! 🚴😎

Replicated childhood walk to school this morning. 40 years on!!

Omloop of Fetteresso ...with a wrong turn!

What a beautiful day in Aberdeen. There's a chap sunbathing 'taps aff' immediately behind where I'm taking my pic!

Friday Photo: RtN 2024, Brechin Events only happen because kind people volunteer to get involved ...thanks to the Friends of Anchor team for their fantastic support to all riders. 🚴🧑‍🤝‍🧑⚓🌷

Aberdeeenshire blaming the elderly for Council finances is a gift to the Evening Express and it's quest for comments on Facebook!!

With cycling's classic season about to start, a note of regret that Scotland's direct ferry to Belgium has now been gone 15 years!! A number of headlines in recent years about resurrection ...but it's not happened

The fact this makes bbc news in the south of England is quite enlightening! 👀 www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...

When you are planning a route through Spain and trying not to be influenced by potential cheap joke pics for social media ...

The upshot of this in my household has been root and branch rip-up of all tele/telecommunications contacts and subscriptions. Vodaphone broadband, Giffgaff mobile, movie apps are in the bin ...and all because it's omloop het nieuwsblad on Saturday

Spring declared in Aberdeen! 🪻☀️

Out for walk in Torry 🌉

Hadn't seen the sun for a while. A visit to the Moray Coast has come to the rescue

We (Aberdeen) are building Union St cycle lanes in an area where vast majority of 2-wheeler (mostly food delivery) are presumably not allowed to use them due to riding bikes that are not classified as e-bikes. I'm curious to see what happens/what expections are/what research sits behind it all

Presumably they looked at Scotland and decided to tweak the policy and go for £1 rather than free www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Marking (only) 50 years since state schools in the UK switched to teaching in metric ...this year's RtN will be measured in km! 😲 I think I flirted with this for an event that was cancelled during the pandemic. This time no U-turn.
