i suppose the fear is less about being confronted about it directly and more stumbling on it in the wild or have it precede me in spaces outside the fandom that i might try to make connections in

my main account has 18+ in the description but mostly because i don't want teenagers in the same spaces as me in general lol
i have no idea how to talk to someone who isn't at least in their 20s these days

like one of my biggest fears is "what if i make one of my dream video games and it blows up and then someone connects the dots and Discourse about how The Game Dev Draws Pokemon Schmeat happens"

aw, thank you so much, that means a lot!!! i felt they'd play off of each other's attitudes really well

i guess i meant "opposite direction" in that it'd be the uh... dorsal side of the slit rather than the caudal side of the ass haha. kinda sandwiched between the two

im sorry if this isn't a viable option due to insurance, but i'm mentioning it cuz i've been lookin into it myself lately
all of those CAN be the result of a treatable underlying deficiency (such as b12/ferritin/iron) or a thyroid problem. so if blood tests are accessible, maybe look into those?

whiskey has his ear to the local crime scene, with enough legacy to not be fucked with. his restaurant offers jobs to younger folks doing petty crime to keep em off the street
lemure is inspired by his ability in japanese, omitōshi. poker faced, and can easily see thru tricks/pretense/body language

i love them i'd let em yap about their hobbies
comment in response to

yeah exactly!! and i think it helps people feel less lonely knowing the person who draws sheaths in a way they like shares a life experience or separate hobby with you or something!

i wonder if covid made people stick to discord groups more for socializing and the habit never died?
or if all the people on twitter trying to sterilize the fandom and cancel people for kinks made people scared to do more than just like/RT things?

you mean my self worth isnt tied directly to my ability to produce content???
comment in response to
post
i agree!! it feels like over the years there's been a lot less community and interaction? Sort of a shift towards people just stayin' in their lane
But I think it's good for people to yap! Everyone's unique combination of hobbies and interests leaves a mark on the world and creates common ground!

twinks aren't usually my first choice in art but if they're a cheetah, as a rule i'm usually hitting that smash button idk what it is about them specifically

i wanted to add tigers to that last post because i also love me some musclechub stripey cats but "tiger bears" did not fit the mouthfeel of the post and i can't have THAT

either way, "fake it till you make it" is absolutely real!
IME a lack of confidence is a huge ball and chain to doing things you realistically CAN do. willfully ignoring self-doubt and "what-ifs" and RPing as a more confident version of yourself helps eventually put the lie TO that self-deprecation
comment in response to
post
imo its easier to internalize someone agreeing with a nice thing you said abt yourself than it is to accept a "what, no you're not!" in response to a self-deprecation
and if its a fear of looking bad, self-deprecation tends to get off-putting quicker than it takes self-praise to look like arrogance

LMAO naw i getcha!! i made a galarian ziggy for a tabletop game where one of his defining features was a resting grump face and he hyperfixated a lot so people just assumed he was mad or ignoring them
its a really cute trait for characters who are actually calm, nice, or emotionally vulnerable imo!
