Maybe add minor side characters (e.g. the cashier who overhears main character 1's conversation) and make short chapters for them that have overlap with what would be the bigger, too-complex ones, but with their own individual perspective on what is happening?

This has got to be the most extreme version of this style of food photography (that particular color grading and exposure). It's veering into architectural, making it look more like a rock formation in bright sunlight than a cake.

I do get that, but I feel like there's something different when the guy seems to be succeeding in real life (and thus feels more applicable no matter how silly it actually is), and is also pumping out massive amounts of new content all the time.
