Math nerd, social justice bard, will talk your ear off about the effects of capitalism in a post-scarcity economy. Not sure what I’ll use this account for yet. Possibly math. You have been warned. Any pronouns.

She was 9 weeks pregnant. She died. The state of Georgia is making the doctors keep her alive to incubate the baby. She’s been dead for three months. This is REAL. this isn’t about what should or should not be done. This is about having a VOICE. This is about having a CHOICE.

Stop calling it deporting, so MAYBE more Americans will get it. "Deporting" is sending someone back, after due process, to the country they came from, where they arrive a free person. This is human trafficking to a foreign torture prison for the rest of their lives. GET THE LANGUAGE RIGHT.

Me: The government said since I’m autistic I don’t have to pay taxes anymore 😌 Them: Actually, I think what they said is- Me: 😠🗣️ THE GOVERNMENT SAID SINCE I’M AUTISTIC I DON’T HAVE TO PAY TAXES ANYMORE 🗣️😠

The only downside to WFH I’ve found is that I don’t have the train ride to play Pokémon Go.

Last night at about 2AM, my family and I woke up to bangs on the door from the Pennsylvania State Police after an arsonist set fire to the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg.

“The more disabled people they try to get rid of, the more they’ll create.” Perfectly said. Long COVID is just one example.

We reported on this a few days ago, but I want to point out this headline because this is where we are at. A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth. HAIRCUTS. This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.

DOGE cut off payments for the electricity, cell phone, and internet service of U.S. government employees who work in a high-risk area in Central America. Meanwhile, DOGE apparently plans to spend $25,000 to install a washer and dryer for their own personal use in a federal office building in DC.

I checked out an audiobook from one of the apps my library subscribes to, and I unfortunately didn’t vet it in advance. It’s read by AI, and it’s…absolutely awful as a result. The first line of the book is “Who’s a good dog?” AI does not know what it is to talk to a good dog. It’s inhuman.

Thing I’ll Miss from WFH #1: Pain-free days Chronic pain has been my default since I was a child due to a few disabilities. It got worse in my 20s, and I thought it was downhill from there. Then, to my surprise, I got better. Why? Because I started working from home. #disability #remotework 1/?

Highly disappointed that @governor.ca.gov has been intimidated into bringing state workers back into the office almost full time. I can only assume he has been forced to give into threats by the federal government, because RTO has no benefits to him or to the state. I thought he was stronger. 1/?

As someone who spends a lot time thinking about the values I want to teach my kid (besides PLEASE DON’T EAT DIRT), the thing I keep coming back to is this: I want him to believe that the strongest, bravest thing he can do is give a shit about other people—especially ones who aren’t like him at all.

An outbreak of a deadly but unidentified illness in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been making news. While the symptoms are closely related to other hemorrhagic viruses like Ebola and Marburg, samples have tested negative for those diseases. apnews.com/article/cong...
