It's really incredible how many great MVP races we've had in the last decade. So many seasons where it feels like the previous year's winner is playing even better than they did when they won (and yet still it's a race) So many seasons where it feels like No. 2 might have won in a different year.

This is the perfect skeet because I have no idea if it's real or not

It's important to entertain yourself when you write things (sorry 76ers fans)

And, because I agree with this, People are really sleeping on Harrison Barnes as a major beneficiary of the Wemby injury

I agree with this

Update: Looks like they're doing Elam ending instead. Target score: 3.

2025 tank slogan idea: "Wave The White Flag For Flagg" Is it: - perfect? - sorta racist somehow? - too wordy? - too late for a slogan name? - bluesky needs polls?

On the shit show that was the all-star game

Short term yeah Sandro, but is Bassey returns soon I'd rather him. Best case: add Bassey, throw him in IR, then add Sandro

This is a big blow to the Bucks (and to one of my dynasty teams) Tho a dif position, his production has seemed inverse-correllated to Trent lately, so I wonder if Trent's value 📈 Kuzma, and in deeper leagues Prince prob also benefit

Probably true, but might as well wait until after tonight's games (unless you have a games max to worry about) to drop

Working on my annual post-ASB Waiver Wire Zoom Out (not necessarily the best guys for the next week, but guys with ROS appeal or breakout potential). Interesting how many of last year's list are doing well right now. Nice to know my hit rate on "there's something there!" is good, even if delayed.

Moses could absolutely have some deep league fantasy value over the next few weeks. It's been a few years, but last time he averaged 20+ min/g, he pulled down nearly a nightly double-double.

Re: the all-star game… Players have never competed “all-out” in the ASG like they do for their respective teams. This is not a new thing. Nobody wants to get hurt playing in the all-star game. Owners & fans don’t want their marquee players getting hurt during All-Star weekend. It’s an exhibition.

Really excited for search posts by user. Been wanting that a lot lately.

Working on a comp for Jalon Walker but at the moment I’m going with one of those birds that dive bombs at 200 mph to pluck helpless fish from the water

What an absolute joke… Going forward, with the new TV contract kicking in, there needs to be an alternative feed for each nationally televised game where fans that actually the enjoy the NBA and love watching games can go for informed insight and analysis before, during and after each contest.

If Terry Bradshaw talked about an NFL game during a Fox halftime show the way Draymond talked about the ASG yesterday on TNT, he'd be blindfolded, thrown into a van and transported to a secret underground NFL dark site where he'd never be seen or heard from again.

The confused quotes from the All-Stars about this whole night after the game are gonna be so funny. It's gonna be a great night for B/R quote graphic meme enthusiasts

It is pretty cool that'll LeBron and AD could join each other on one last injury report before moving on with their careers

IMO the best thing they could do with All-Star weekend is just remove all the nonsense. No more performances, no more between-event interviews, no more Kevin Hart, no more intros that take 20 minutes. Let the shooters shoot, let the dunkers dunk, and then play a basketball game.

Something I think about a lot is when Conan went on Hot Ones and talked about how the worst thing you can do in entertainment is put yourself down and say that the thing you're producing is bad, because people *want* to like things and all saying stuff like that does is convince them to fade you.

This is a stronger version of my take (tho I had the benefit of the whole night being on mute). The basketball was solid! Especially by All-Star standards! But the pace and production was bizarre.

The timing was a big misfire. Should have done it between games.

This is a loooot of not-game time in this All-Star game

If you're not rooting for Team Candace right now then I don't understand your approach to the All-Star weekend

At a bar, walked in, asked them to put the All-Star Game on the TV. Owner told me no one had ever asked for that before in all his years owning the place

Mac McLung has earned more money winning dunk contests ($310k) than he’s made in his NBA career ($132k).

Mac deserved the win but I really hope people appreciated how awesome Castle's performance tonight was Worthy of a Dunk Contest win probably at least half of the last 15 years
