Game 50 - Pokémon Violet: Playing on Switch 2 massively improves the framerate, but can’t do anything about the boring structure or atrocious art direction. It’s a testament to the core gameplay of the series that I still had a good time. Still my least favourite generation.

Game 49 - Bravely Default: Turn based JRPGs are still fucking great and Bravely Default is one of the best in modern memory. The end game is a bit infamous but even that criticism is a little overblown. So happy to have a remaster.

Game 48 - Devil May Cry 3 SE: The quintessential character action game, but it is crazy to me that the best version of it is locked to the Nintendo Switch? The ability to switch styles on the fly is game changing and makes it the best way to experience this classic.

Game 47 - Mario Kart World: It’s a bit early to decide how this compares to 8, but it’s pretty impressive well it holds up against biggest game in the series at launch. Most importantly, Nintendo need to add the soundtrack to the music app right now.

Game 46 - Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations: From the worst AA game to the best. I love how every case in this game ties together in a way that no other game in the series does whether that be literally or thematically. Replaying this made me desperate for a new one.

Game 44 - Kathy Rain 2 Soothsayer: A worthy sequel to a modern point and click classic. As with a lot of the big pnc releases this year a little on the easy side, but the story is gripping, the art direction is on point and the performances are uniformly good. Definitely give it a go.

The Switch 2 patch for Pokémon Violet has been so transformative to the overall experience it’s so good and I’m having a great time. But man the one two punch of Los Platos literally just being set dressing and then Mesagoza being the world’s biggest menu screen still really sucks.
