I feel like I know my Bluesky audience pretty well, but just in case some of you have (gasp!) never seen Casablanca and therefore never had the heartsplitting experience of watching a bunch of real life European refugees stand up and drown out fake Nazis by singing the Marseillaise go fix that soon.

I just finished @mattstrassler.bsky.social's book and damn is it good. If you want to understand particle physics, really understand it, this is your book. It dispenses with extraneous jargon ("scalar" becomes "nonpointing") and walks you through a sequence of progressively more refined metaphors. 🧪

The recent news that Comcast intends to spin-off it's broadcast products, is not surprising. It is concerning, and we truly need a moderate and/or liberal billionaire to buy these products. Estimated value, at this point, is 7 billion, anyone have any ideas who might be able to save these networks?
