I hope that Gamefreak are able to step things up with the next gen game for the Switch 2 whenever it comes out. Make combat not necessarily more challenging, but smarter. Step up graphical polish and animations. But most of all, get voice talent to better present the story and characters on offer

Without any voice acting, this game almost feels like it's still in Early Access. I got so frustrated with this, especially with the more story dense finale
Overall though, I do like Scarlet, but there's just so much holding it back from being a good game.

But probably the worst offender of all is the complete lack of voice acting. This game has some great story and characters, but yet the highest grossing media franchise EVER isn't able to sign on any voice talent. This leads to many cutscenes and conversations not having any of the intended effect.

Gym tests for example, are so laughably easy and simple, they shouldn't be there at all. Most battles feel like you're fighting a lobotomized fish. Like with previous entries, so long as your Mons are properly trained and have a type advantage, you can brute force your way thru the entire game.

And while the game itself performs great now, many landscapes and textures still look bland and underwhelming. Most commonly, the game really insults your intelligence (and this is coming from a guy who almost always prefers to play on easy).

Now, The Bad: Almost everything else. Most Pokemon battles feel like you're fighting a lobotomized dipshit. Wandering wild pokemon (while nice) can trap you in a loop of battles, especially if any of them are aggressive and charge at you. Character customization is also severely lacking.

First, The Good: I love all the quality of life here such as autobattling, mints to change the natures of your pokemon, accessing your box from anywhere, Koraidon eliminating the need for HMs, etc. I also loved the story and characters more than I was expecting, especially Arven's storyline.

Pokemon Scarlet
My first foray into a Nintendo game and Pokemon in years thanks to getting a Switch 2.
On a technological level, the game performs great. A rock solid 60-120 FPS both docked and undocked. The game looks beautiful in Hi-Res (although there were a few discrepancies in cutscenes/UI

Palia
Played this game for a good month or so with 40 hours clocked in. It's a very nice and laidback Early Access MMO-Lite farming/life sim though I wasn't particularly enthralled with the story. Good game to play while watching Youtube and such. I hope this game sees its full potential someday

Mafex Mandalorian 2.0 (Chrome Version)
Damn this thing is shiny. Beautiful figure. Otherwise it's the same as the original, though I had some QC issues with some pieces of armor falling off from the factory glue not holding up.

Figma Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Link
Beautiful figure, and I appreciate the step up in engineering from Figma/Goodsmile. But the amount of plastic here can still make the figure feel awkward/clumsy to handle.

Star Wars Black Series Captain Rex (and Commander Fox)
Was not aware that Rex had double jointed elbows. These don't really help because of the outdated clone body... but appreciated nonetheless.
Fox is also on the severely limited and outdated Clone body. Barely playable.

AliExpress Veils Toys Star Wars Doom Sargeant
This is what the Black Series needs to be. Alternate hands, blaster effect parts, double jointed elbows and knees... Step it up Hasbro.

Mafex Daredevil
Really good figure, though I think a bit overhyped.

Star Wars Black Series Anakin Skywalker (Ahsoka version)
Good headsculpt, but everything else feels outdated or awful. The arms are way too long, and the legs aren't pinless for some reason. Black Series really needs to up their engineering on their figures. Ended up returning this one.

Star Wars Black Series Commander Bacara
Another solid figure, but it's really shitty that QC issues resulted in paint missing from the visor. I shouldn't have to get a gundam marker to fix a factory issue.

Catching up on some posts I've been negleting over the past month
Star Wars Black Series ROTS Commander Cody
A big and much needed improvement over the original figure. Solid work.

I only remember the Gamersupps drama myself.
However yes, I will agree that this thread is pretty much "Guilt by Association: The Game"

This entire post sounds like an allegory for similar racism/transphobic situations that you would see as a comedy sketch for a show.
Except it's not a sketch. It's performed by a really bad clown.
