As people get more and more angry over this nation's shift toward fascism, their anger will eventually turn to violence. There is always a backlash and these fools are building one mirroring the French revolution.

Yeah, yeah... but he has a cool name and wore a MAGA hat.

Nobody federal worker should reply.
Let the buffoon fire them all and then explain that to the rest of his sycophantic bozo band.
For the MAGAs in the back row: he can't fire them all.

The followup to cruelty is often revenge.
The people we are screwing will remember this and will likely not be there for us when we need them... many of them will find themselves moving into China's sphere of influence as we radiate instability and unreliability. America is so damned stupid.

Dear Leader, you make the Sun rise, the stars twinkle, and the moon glow. We don't deserve you.
At least, the last part is true (for most of us).

Of the many issues that create the friction you are experiencing on BlueSky, the two that are primary are oozing condescension and dripping superiority, and these should be easy for you to correct. Embracing humility would serve you well.

i am struck by the incredible vanity and arrogance contained in @chatterton.bsky.social’s view that he is a paragon of rationality fighting against knuckle-dragging hordes. i am even more struck by it when i consider the extent to which he has never actually engaged with critique of his ideas

You're stuck in that WAPO bubble. It appears that you refuse to allow yourself to understand criticism of your industry & specifically of your employer.
Legacy journalism has failed us; soft peddling phrases like "raised the prospect" normalizes in one breath while "unconstitutional" become cover.

She is one of maybe 4 prominent Democrats that get it. Jeffries and Schumer have been worthless.
It’s been AOC, Crockett, Raskin, and Murphy.

There’s plenty of space for rage and more to come! It’s the lightning speed gutting of American ethos of what it means to be an American causing the zombification.

After 25+ years of talking to them & failing to break thru, frustration is merely the forward face of realizing that in the end, when the day comes that the leopard eats their face, is the only day that will have an effect on them. 3/e

A large part of the problem that I had, and you appear to have, is approaching this as a rational problem instead of an emotional problem. Doing that never works.
There will be a day when accountability comes for those who tout accountability for me but not for thee. 2/3

No, I don't think that you do understand the frustration. I was also on the right politically but removed myself from the RW silo quite some time ago. I've spent the last 25+ years talking to my former political allies[TEA partiers, MAGA] about disinfo that they've been marinaded in, to no avail.1/3

That why business acumen doesn't belong in government.
If your business fails the government protects you from liability when you file bankruptcy.
Who protects the government when you crash it?

getting linked scientific papers saying 5g causes cancer and then taking the 3 hours to actually read and understand what it's saying and trying to explain to my friend it absolutely does not say that was a uniquely frustrating experience.

Putting a Roger Stone wannabee political goon in charge of the FBI for the next ten years... what could go wrong... ugh.

Funding SpaceX is slow but certain death for America.
We need to develop other sources quickly and remove our nation from Elon's incredibly dangerous grip.

Most people don't know that for all but the wealthiest, taxes are checked by computer, not by a person or team of people. This is drastically different as one rises up the income scale. Large income, complex returns are checked by people... if those people are gone, it's a windfall for the wealthy.

Politico fails again.

Federal workers need to respond with a general strike. The rest of us should support that effort by helping our neighbors pay their bills & feed their families as they fight for America. The private sector workers should also engage in a series of targeted supportive general strikes.
