New 🗞️ 🚨 #preprint from the @rlissaman.bsky.social et al “Effects of APOE e4 on brain structure, function, and connectivity at midlife: a scoping review” doi.org/10.5281/zeno... #neurosky #endalz

Are you a #neuroscience #Postdoc in #Canada or #Canadian abroad? We are selecting #speakers for the 2025 Canadian Neuroscience Seminars: Postdoctoral Series. Apply by Dec. 2nd @ 23:59 PT. docs.google.com/document/d/1... docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... Questions? [email protected]

Question for UK academics, particularly those in cog neuro and related fields: Are “staff scientist” positions (lab manager, lab tech, analyst) relatively uncommon? Many labs in North America seem to have them, but I don’t recall this being the case in the UK, even in well-funded labs #academicsky

It's been...a while, but I'm happy to say that we published this work in Neurobiology of Aging! You can check out the paper here 👇🏻 www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... #neuroskyence

Check out our recent preprint examining sex and menopause effects on age associations with spatial context memory and white matter at midlife! #neuroskyence www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Had a blast at #CNS2024! Here’s the obligatory photos of me presenting some of our (@RajahLab) recent findings

Check out the lineup for #TAMeG2024! ✅ 26 talks/data blitzes ✅ @tyrellturing.bsky.social keynote ✅ Panel: episodic memory in AI @tyrellturing.bsky.social @aronowitz.bsky.social, Nick Frosst, Morgan Barense ✅ Open bar, awards, powerpoint karaoke Registration is open! tameg.ca

Interesting paper examining APOE effects on brain structure in UK Biobank 🧠

I want to know everyone's experiences publishing in: * MDPI journals * Hindawi journals * Frontiers journals Not stories about what you heard, please, but your literal experience. what happened to you. Editors of said journals particularly welcome. RT this. A lot.

The Learning, Understanding, Memory, & Neurodevelopment (LUMeN) Lab at Emory is seeking our first postdoc! ✨ Learn more about the position and apply here: faculty-emory.icims.com/jobs/123119/...

I'll be advertising a 2-year postdoc in a few weeks supported by an ESRC grant. An interesting project looking at the role of narratives in the learning and retention of educational material. Feel free to get in touch via email if you are interested! #neuroskyence #cognition #psychscisky

Deadline extended to December 10th @ 11:59 Pacific! In addition to being a great opportunity to broadcast your work, selected speakers will receive a $200 CAD honorarium. Submit, submit, submit! #neuroskyence #Neuroimaging

Happy #SubfieldWednesday HSGers, Our questionnaire relating to the hippocampal tail segmentation protocol is live! Your feedback will help to revise and improve a draft protocol for defining hippocampal tail boundaries. Responses are requested by Monday January 8, 2024. 🍤

The hippocampus is not usually thought of as a visual brain region. But it shows a systematic progression of pRF size from anterior to posterior, which matches a similar gradient in scene versus face preference. New paper by Charlotte Leferink now out in Cerebral Cortex. doi.org/10.1093/cerc...

#SfN2023 hasn’t even officially started and the posts are already triggering some serious FOMO

Are you a neuroscience postdoc in 🇨🇦 (or a 🇨🇦🧠 postdoc abroad)? If so, why not apply to give a virtual talk as part of the Canadian Neuroscience Seminars - Postdoctoral Series (CNS-PDS)?! Application deadline is Dec 3, 2023 @ 11:59pm PT Link to apply: t.co/UzLtZVr2jz #neuroskyence #neuroimaging

Halloween horrors at the Douglas CIC 👻 #AcademicSky

Hello CNS Members! Please consider voting for our symposium on "Translating cognitive neuroscience into the preclinical realm of Alzheimer's disease". Organized by Hwamee Oh and presented by me, Heidi Jacobs, @mnrajah.bsky.social and Nathan Spreng! Please RT. #PsychSciSky #neuroskyence #compneurosky

We are looking for an Associate Professor working on ageing. Based at Reading Psychology, with potential affiliation to CINN and access to excellent neuroimaging and human physiology faclities.

Neurobiology of Aging is requesting submissions for a special issue on "Brain Connectivity in Aging". Current deadline is November 30th, 2023, but this is likely to be extended. Please help spread the word! 😄 www.sciencedirect.com/journal/neur...

👋🏻 #HiSciSky I'm a postdoc interested in memory, aging, and dementia risk 🧠 Hoping to migrate from the other place... #PsychSciSky #neuroskyence #Neuroimaging
