I had to stop some of the crush—too many appointments (Ronnie's schedule, too), very few of them helpful in any way. I finally had a word with the insurance case manager. She's talking to various referrals sites, trying streamline the chaos.

Understood. Perhaps not altogether wisely, I've stopped all doc appointments for that very reason. Wears ye oot & gets ye doon. Keep yer sanity any way ye can, and know ye're thought of 😘

I'm trying to work on that. The trouble lies in medical appointments. I go to one, state my case, get referred to another one, go home exhausted, repeat, repeat, repeat... it's an endless cycle of foolish pseudo-treatment. 😕

Summer weather is always hellish for me. We're between seasons. Where the exhaustion ends, joint pain takes up. A spine specialist appointment is on the books. At some point, I have to feel better before I can go. 😆 They never recall such limitations.

An astute gastroenterologist tested me for alpha-Gal, a tick vectored "allergy" to mammalian meats & derivatives (in everything, Jello to vaccines!). Added to a long list of other "allergies"/sensitivities/intolerances, food options are tight. Worse, it alone can trigger chronic fatigue syndrome.

I'm alive, just insanely tired all the time. Some days I sleep 15 of 24 hours, muddleheaded for the rest of it.
Much more and I'll be starved instead of vegan. In addition to the prior list of forbidden food, I'm alpha-Gal positive now: no mammalian meat or derivatives.

Been checking every few days to see if ye'd reappeared in one piece 🤔 I could only see your blog post on Appalachian ham (looked tremendous, even though I'm teetering on vegetarian). Didn't expect disclosure of anything private, and only hope that whatever situation arose is resolvable. 🤞

If it's more purely original, it goes over to @fiction-writing.bsky.social. "Original" is a relative term. Anything one has ever been exposed is going to affect one, and eventually come leaking out, so nothing we create can be purely original, but some efforts clearly come closer than others.

Yes, I plan to have flash fiction on my main account, too, but not the same kind of flash fiction.
If I write fan fiction, or continue somebody else's story, or otherwise write something that is in some way derivative, it gets posted to @fictionwriting.bsky.social.
