I need to start transitioning to Canadian. I think I'll start using that as my new pronoun too.

But a wider blade means I catch more waves than I might otherwise. The best advice is to get the right paddle length - a mix of craft width and your torso height as this makes the most difference in my opinion. A good starting.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVm0... from @joeo-1.bsky.social

Chad, in general, Greenland paddles aren't designed for performance. Most available fall into the 8-9 cm width. Performance comes from technique - I can match Euro paddlers for speed and distance. The wider blade is key only for acceleration - I can surf with the thinner blade just as well.. (1/2)

Not to mention everything else that could happen to use along the way to retirement. This is why I dropped out of the rat race, downsized to only what I truly needed, changed my career/business to do what I love and have fun doing it. Live in the now

My current plan is a 10 AM launch at Owen Beach in Tacoma....Turn to food is about 10:40 AM setting up a Tide race on a 2 knot flood against winds SSW at 16 knots sustained to gusts up to 35 knots.

Maybe other countries should just permanently ban anyone in or connected to this administration from entering their country.

Moved to AZ in '91 - no job or prospects, apt rented sight unseen, 1 mo rent in the bank (not much more), knew 1 person - packed everything in the car and a 5x8 trailer and drove from Rochester, NY (left for WA in 2014)

It was a little less calm last time I was in that cave! Cool spot regardless of the conditions!

(2/2) If you are using a long pautik it exaggerates your motion, your out of water blade is at the end of a lever and moves faster, then obscures background colors drawing attention; then the wetted blade tends to reflect light further spooking your prey."

(1/1) Using "the short paddle for hunting is if you do it right you can reduce your visual profile and two of the three things that give you away. These are your profile or silhouette, motion and reflection.
