Exactly !
Even if the USA were to retaliate with Energy Export Taxes of their own, they import vastly more oil than we do.
Let’s get smarter about this, rather than ‘reflecting’ tariff for tariff.

? What is an effective path forward Avi?
Having cared for very elderly Parents, involving both Coastal Health and Veterans Affairs, as well as personal resources, can appreciate full well the convoluted system.
? Where do we go from here?

But come on, every billion is important.
After all, the US Dept of Agriculture needs to round up $40 Billion per year to fund the insurance payouts to the mega corps that have taken over the majority of US farming.

Then get out there and do something about it.
There are a vast number of politicians who are NOT term limited.

Our PM was pretty clear-you drop the tariffs or we keep adding on to ours. We have cancelled trips to the US, sent all the booze back, your products are rotting/expiring on our shelves, and shoppers are placing US items upside down to make it easier for other shoppers to avoid wasting their time.

It’s time for a ‘Beer Can Tariff’.
That is, selectively restrict the supply of aluminum going to US Breweries.
Within a few weeks, the store shelves in the USA will be empty of cheap beer, and THAT will get the attention of those who voted for Trump.
Without cheap beer, they will march on DC.
