Three different weather warnings this morning. Really hoping the snow "takes a cuttin'"

Garlic Peri-Peri Sauce is my new fav thing to put on things.

I wasn't ready to read "Star Wars Episode III 20th Anniversary" but I just did. I'm not sure if it's only been 10 years, or 45 years. But it certainly wasn't 20.

Doesn't feel like Christmas was two months ago.

Right now I don't see a world where this is a possibility but I really love to see this. (Even if it's just a online poll from a Newfoundland radio station.) It's not nothing, anyway.

Mild temperatures and a bunch of rain in the forecast for Wednesday and we just had a good dump of snow Friday. If the storm drains aren't cleared up before then, it's gonna be gross.

Yeah, this new Vans Warped Tour is trash and I wouldn't be upset in the slightest if it's a complete flop and whoever is responsible for booking headliners lands in financial trouble as a result.

It's 2025 - I try to avoid using Reddit but it's part of the online structure at this point so it's unavoidable. And every single time I open the app I come across a comment section filled with users STILL making the claim Reddit isn't social media. It's a lot of social media wearing a trench coat.

There were two dogs at our shop this morning. Pretty awesome Monday morning.

If there's anyone on here who wants to talk about overdrives, delays, Marshalls and all that fun stuff pull up a chair and start telling me all about the fun stuff you use to make your guitar sounds.

Always something special about breaking in a new pair of slippers.

I know I'm probably not supposed to say it but Swiss Chalet is a good time

I was really worried Dad was still very pro trump but he's completely 180'd now the reality set in.

How do we break it to the gen z crowd that the entire "goggles on top of the head" fashion trend was really mostly a movie thing and it wasn't really a common thing people wore in real life. I mean at the time we all thought it looked cool but I don't recall anyone I know actually going for it.

If I'm gonna have this half-assed album slapped together by Friday I'm gonna need to focus on the last track and put together some artwork. There's a significant chance none of this is getting done, realistically. If my finger wasn't too sore to play guitar the chances would be much higher though.

9:30 on Sunday morning and I watched my neighbor run to the store and return with a case of Budweiser. I know times are scary, difficult for everyone and I really shouldn't judge. But he really should be drinking Molson Canadian considering everything going on.

Elon Musk couldn't pull out of a driveway.

I think I'm getting better with my mixing skills. Or maybe I've only gotten faster at it because I've picked up some bad habits that are going to haunt me for as long as I'm doing this. But I think I've just gotten better.

I'm doing a fantastic job at being a lazy piece of shit this weekend.

This might be the only app I use where I don't see an abundance of music gear posts. I'd like more of that but so much it starts to look like advertising.

My finger is definitely too sore for guitar still but I just added up my total and I'm just under 3 minutes shy of the 30 minute goal. TO THE SYNTHS AND DRUM PADS!

I'm not sure if it's ICE or DOGE that's playing the whole secret police role at the moment.

Being lazy paid off this morning. I could've spent a lot of time/energy making my back ache but I held out a few hours in hopes the calvary of tax funded snow clearing came through. And they totally did just as I was starting to bundle up. Thanks mini-snowclearing machine driving worker - you rule

I love the chit chat about Canada joining the EU in response to everything happening with the current American Government. But what makes me nervous is how close Trump cozied to Putin and would likely consider it provoking a war the same way he accuses Ukraine of the same for trying to join NATO.

Went to bed really banking on the sidewalk plows and street plows to do their thing. But now it seems like my Saturday morning is going to be spent digging a lot of gross, heavy, wet snow. Better break out the arthritis meds good and early for this one.

The Friday lunchtime Blizzard hit like a ton of bricks. What an exhausting day.

My favorite comfort food is probably a big feed of toutans. If you're wondering what this is, it's simply pan frying dough. Like, bread dough. I often buy two frozen sticks of dough for 2.79 to keep in the freezer so when the mood strikes I can just toss em in the pan. A very Newfoundland thing.

I discovered nerds gummy clusters and something changed in me

I always thought America needed trillions of dollars. Where are they taking it from? Oh wait - thousands of workers and benefits and getting involved in wars on two separate continents and threatening to annex the biggest trade ally that shares the border and deporting 10 million people and etc.

As a carpenter I spent an hour doing the ol' tango in the night with some sheet metal and I'm thinking of implementing some personal tariffs against this stuff myself. 25% increase every time I have to touch this stuff. 125% if it's American Made because that shit BITES.

I would love to know what every trade did to offend the HVAC crowd over the years. BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY WE DID SOMETHING FOR THIS STUFF TO GET BUILT THE WAY IT DOES.

Pouring blast beats and death metal growls in my ears this morning as fast as I fill my mouth with coffee. Blood Incantation rule, but you probably know that.

Just said "hey man" to a bag of goldfish chips when I went to get them from the kitchen.

Sometimes I use the other site for local traffic (it's weird, but it helps) but now all the traffic tags for my area are filled with a very racist dude blaming every accident reported on immigration. I'm gonna beg the local weather man to set up shop here so I can delete that for good.

Rage Against The Machine predicted the rise of Elon. Look at this album cover for Evil Empire. This is from ‘96.

Not to brag - but I slept through the night for a *second* night in a row.

My cat is laying on my big giant hoodie blanket thing and she is NOT giving it up.

RIP to Rick Buckler. The Jam are a criminally underrated band in North America. Extremely ahead of their time in many avenues. Whenever I ask "guess what year this was released!" to a co-worker while listening to them, it's always over shot by at least a decade. Time for a long listen.

I squat my finger pretty good this afternoon on a subfloor. While it really sucks for me - it really benefits society because this means my RPM is likely not going to be done and I'll loose all motivation to finish that handful of songs. Your welcome. There's enough noise going on, I think.

Morning Daily News Podcast is on the topic of "how a US invasion of Canada" will look and I haven't got the energy this morning because we're already well into "never thought this would happen" territory.

I recall a lot of Republican types praising election promises based around being "tough on crime" yet they were totally okay with letting hundreds and hundreds convicted violent criminals who tried to commit a insurrection on live TV get full pardons. Can't get more "soft on crime" than that.
