Maybe this will be a RG3 / Cousins situation for Tonje 😂

on pace for 90wins at the halfway point. can't be too upset with that, regardless of what other teams are doing.

MIL is at 81games, if they limit him to 150ish, it's 70IP left. If he averages 5.5/start, that's about 13 more starts out of the 77 remaining games he'd pitch in, which is 1/6th of them. 1/5 of 77 would be 15 starts, so just bumping him back a day here&there may be enough. Playoffs would be ? tho

was trying to think of recent TB or CLE picthers and my mind went to Drew Rasmussen initially. 87 in Mi/MLB between MIL and TB in 2021 then 146 in TB in 22. He did have a flexor strain in 23 then that required surgery lol

I don't know I'd use something the Pirates are doing as a good example though lol ;-) PIT probably still does use that though because it's old and based on bad research

Also, 4-5 years is a looong time in pro sports. Take any roster and I’d be curious how many are still there 4-5 years later
comment in response to post
right?! i guess giving them tiny bit of grace would be at least they're trying to get OTHER fans into the game's young players, knowing MIL/PIT fans already know about them so MLB cares less about those fans' interest/business?

i believe it was posted as the free game of the day outside of blackout markets

unfortunate in this case that baseball has netting everywhere now. Some PR-obsessed person would've stopped him or a player doing it for him before they managed to get through the netting...

the article starts with #21 instead of going from 35 down to 21. this is too confusing this early

He needs an oversized baserunning mitt that has a ruler in it

i feel most of the posts about said abyss are people complaining about all the abyss-staring. there doesn't have to be this constant discourse about it. talk sports and and avoid the abyss then. seems like talking about it is feeding into what you're trying to avoid
comment in response to post
yea, overlooked that part. just not sure what player it would take for Murph to sit Durbin, outside of a current all-star level player like Suarez
comment in response to post
no way they claim him to take on rest of that deal. now chance of convincing him he'll have better shot to contribute in MKE than anywhere else? that could work once he clears
comment in response to post
i'm curious your experience with constant bots & political stuff on X though. maybe it's different for those making content vs consuming content mostly, because over there it's a mess trying to just to follow sports b/c of the bots and political stuff
comment in response to post
After this long inning of sitting, gotta think they call it a night, right?

Would be hilarious if people show up where ICE is, dressed the same with no idea who they are, and be like “we’ll take it from here” and then just release the people behind their backs
comment in response to post
they probably asked if they could have ICE agents replace the ticket-takers at the gate and LAD said "well that'll be a little TOO obvious, sorry"
comment in response to post
it's kind of the NBA owner layaway plan
comment in response to post
my best guess is that this allows them to buy it now at a cheaper price rather than waiting 10 years for the person in the owner/Governor role to decide to give it up and sell then?
comment in response to post
You just know Murph would love to have Altuve, seems like a fair swap no? 🤣
comment in response to post
the people that use AI for these things will end up making themselves irrelevant to the rest of humans that actually interact with each other
comment in response to post
yea, hence why he's one of the top pitching prospects
comment in response to post
isn't this post curmudgeonly though, so maybe they do fit? :)

Except Chourio has already been in MLB for a full year…

haha, yea, the pea gravel was what i was referring to. my dog finds a way to kick it up all the time. looks good though!

i have questions about your patio stones. are they constantly coming out or were they glued in somehow? similar setup on my patio and my bare feet hate my patio
comment in response to post
also, quick apologies probably reflect not thinking about what you're apologizing for. avoids confrontation but doesn't make things better lol
comment in response to post
yea, seems about right. one would think he'd want to, since his offense has never made anyone think of a ceiling much greater than he is now, but possibility to bottom out offensively/get hurt i'd still have concerns of that he would want some certainty. i'll be curious what his comps are come arby
comment in response to post
i'm also curious at what point they trust enough of what they see in Turang and Frelick to discuss extensions to buy out arb years. Their type of value isn't traditionally as favored in arb hearings, so do they just pay-as-you-go instead of having cost certainty/savings?
comment in response to post
no doubt. A Tesla that runs but maybe starts on fire is better than the Pinto on blocks in the backyard
comment in response to post
if that team gets ran like the Suns, i don't expect things to get better for CWS though...
comment in response to post
peralta again?
comment in response to post
yea but imagine how fast Thibs would grind poor Giannis' body into dust lol
comment in response to post
well, whether due to an overuse injury or just overuse fatigue, i would all but guarantee at least one of them will have a short IL stint at some point that knocks them down to -only- 65-70 games lol
comment in response to post
beyond inflation, they price it for the older crowd that could probably afford it if they really want to, but it's still the same experience that someone old enough to afford doesn't have interest to pay to do anymore. Higher prices should reflect better experience and they don't seem to
comment in response to post
sounds good, was only kidding. does the sound of others adding content too mean there'll be Badger Connect socials, etc. posting out the content too down the road?
comment in response to post
Pro subscription for like 6 hours now and i haven't seen a new article yet, wth lol. Look forward to seeing everything coming :)
comment in response to post
more and more, i feel like you can't underestimate the impact of poor fundamentals to the point that making it part of your strategy may be useful lol
comment in response to post
i think their master plan was "be bad in 24, fire Murph sometime in 25 and have Rickie take over" was OK with everyone internally but got ruined last year. Murph just wants to hold up his end so he's still trying to get himself fired?
comment in response to post
I'll always remember reading that the idea of Politico was that an ESPN-style of reporting for politics was needed. That was enough to never take them seriously.
comment in response to post
it's also why i'm glad that for those wanting indepth info or discussion have podcasts to get their fix from ... :)
