Having your own website is not going to fix democracy, or capitalism, but it makes a political statement. It says "I want to carve my own space on the web" and I think this is a radical act. It was when I originally said this in 2022, and I mean it even more today. localghost.dev/blog/this-pa...

“we’re designing moments of surprise and delight” — you are a creator in an infinite realm of discovery & exploration & incredible wonder. there is poetry here that will daunt your sense of self; art that will annihilate it entirely. “surprise and delight” just say the button turns green

I do not believe in any tech product where the devs want us to view it with some form of religious awe, a divine gift redefining human experience and bequeathing knowledge unto us humble land apes. I believe in a tech product where the devs are like “this is handy for planning breakfasts”

Went outside and heard birdsong for the first time in ages. Anticyclonic gloom can do one we're so back

got tired of opening photoshop just to use the perspective warp tool for four seconds, so I made a Figma plugin that does all that for me :) henry.codes/writing/corr...

I've been making websites for a long while and it's dramatic how many gigs have gone from building out features to figuring out which third-party services to stitch together. I'm absolutely cool with that, but it's not as fun when 9 times out of 10 the documentation for those services is tepid balls

This show is a MF'NGOODTIME

We've rolled out some automatic PPP on Complete CSS. It's been there since day one but it required you to contact support. That's not good enough so we're detecting countries and linking up to discount codes. All you have to do is visit piccalil.li/complete-css/ and it'll give you a code.

Hard to believe it's already Friday

I assumed I'd be over it after [checks notes] 6 years, but it still feels funny every time I see people using Synthwave '84 in video tutorials 💜

Actually on time this week, @amyhupe.bsky.social reprised and updated their "It all means nothing in the end" talk especially for #FFConf: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTFW... Take some time to watch. Spend some time being kind to yourself ❤

A platform that allows you to challenge reality itself—to set the scene in any way imaginable—and they go with the world's most uncomfortable folding chairs in a barely-textured high school gymnasium. A desert of creativity

Hello it’s Big Red’s Big Red Valentine’s Day Heavy Metal Showdown 2025 where I recommend some of my favourite and best modern heavy music out at the moment for people who love metal but don’t know where to find the good stuff right now. 1/n
