The html date input works well up to a point. It unfortunately isn’t versatile due to the lack of format control beyond os locale. The unstylable calendar also makes it a bummer for design systems.

A step in the right direction for sure, but it’s a mountain to climb. A big designer<>dev gap is the awareness of the wysiwyg vibes of mockups vs the infinitely flexible calculation inheritance machine of the browser.

I really love FF9, it’s a great balance of serious themes and light heartedness, a really interesting world, lovable characters. But with all older RPGs you’ll find qol problems that might make them hard to play. If you want a more shiny experience, you can’t go wrong with FF7 remake.
