Very surprised by a lot of things! I'd thought because of DK's redesign #Nintendo would be separating themselves from that 90s Rareware era (DK Country + 64), but instead this is the closest continuation of them, in spirit and with characters, music etc. returning. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVUi...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadaver... Morbidly fascinating/rad #art #arthistory TIL: in the mid 1500s, a mortally wounded prince requested his tomb depict his corpse after 3 years of decay. So they made a realistic life size limestone statue of his rotted corpse, standing holding a reliquary of his heart

🐊 It is world croc day! 🐊

Here's one I'd recently done in a hurry for a vest. Modeled/unwrapped a cage, added a multires modifier and sculpted a little, then can bake and start texturing a lower subd level immediately (WIP). Never had to worry about getting retopo/seams to follow the geo, so it felt like I got to skip a step

A couple vertical crop renders of my #StarWars Clone Wars-era Skipray Blastboat model from last year. Modeled in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in Blender. Pretty low poly. Just for fun I also used 3 kitbashed Star Trek greebles, imagining that ILM in the 90s might have done the same.

Remember how I wanted to commission someone to put the Dinamation Allosaurus in Jurassic World: Evolution 2? Well, courtesy of LocoJung, it's here! I'll be sharing the file as soon as I find somewhere to host it.

This is just a silly little WIP test, I will probably cram a lot more of my models in there, but I had a look at some images in the "Utopian Scholastic" aesthetic and decided to do a silly 3D little render in it. In a lot of the examples that things were kind of collaged with no respect for scale.

The Leadenhall and Lloyd's Buildings. Lime Street, London EC3M Steal girders and glass skyscrapers. #reference #buildingreference #materialreference

Green line my beloved

birds..................

The #StarWars Holiday Special has been long mocked, but Ralph McQuarrie took designing Kashyyyk for it totally seriously, with beautiful results. I love Chewie's art nouveau-looking house, and some of the appliances made it to the screen again in Andor. See more: alextoons.com/blog/starwar... #art

Lloyd's building Lime Street, London EC3M Exposed steal and concrete skyscraper. “There is perfect weather to capture this building and for me it’s today bright but overcast with moody grey clouds overhead” #reference #buildingreference #materialreference

Goal: get my artwork used in some sort of officially licensed capacity for as many sci-fi franchises with "Star-" in the name as possible. 1/100 down: StarCraft ✅ Art in a book Star Wars: Not yet but a contract artist once referenced a 3D model of mine for a book cover so almost Star Trek: Not yet

I find this satisfying in the same was as when I see cool fake brands in videogames with really clever designs. Some visual designer nailed it.

My #StarWars clone pilot helmet/life support chest box also appears in this render by ECHenry, Eric Guedes, and Angelos Karderinis, as an AT-PT driver. They are doing some fantastic work over on youtube!

It is undocumented / baaarely big enough to see at all, but a couple #StarTrek Klingons are also being held separated in the brig, which are this tiny super low poly model by me.

Here is also a comparison of the /a variant with my regular ESB version. (They are the same height, just in different poses here.)

New Star Wars Glup Shitto to be a fan of- "Generic Pirate #8" from the '80s Droids Cartoon. Aura.

A few little #Blender3d renders of my rendition of the #StarWars AT-ST/a, a variant that incorporates some unused ESB and RotJ concept art features. AT-ST and stormtrooper models by me.

WIP, makin' the AT-ST/a variant of the #StarWars AT-ST, with influences from various Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi concept art (a couple examples included). The name as a variant is technically canon, just hasn't been a canon visual for it yet. Both models by me.

More Civil War era LGBTQ people: abolitionist Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women, said in an interview "I am half-persuaded that I am a man's soul put by some freak of nature into a woman's body... b/c I have fallen in love with so many pretty girls, and never once the least bit with any man"

Many great bts photos of stunt performer Des Webb in there on this excellent blog: starwarsaficionado.blogspot.com/2020/06/an-e...

I invite you all to enjoy this bts wampa blooper from #StarWars The Empire Strikes Back. There was apparently an extremely tall stunt performer wearing stilts in there.
