An Eurasian Moorhen doing some early morning fishing. These are quite chatty birds while they’re hiding in the bush, but very shy unless you’ve camped out in a spot long enough for them to come out of hiding. A beautiful bird. #birds #qatar #birdsofqatar #fujifilm #xh2s #xf150600

I spy this cantankerous guy. Red-Wattled Lapwings don’t take guff from any bird, including raptors like Marsh Harriers. The blur in the last shot is one that had been dive bombing a family of 🫣FIVE🫣 harriers, who each fled his relentless attacks.
