For those who don’t know, Amazon will disable downloads of Kindle books on the 26th. I finished downloading mine today. With the occasional exception, that’s the end of my Amazon book purchases anyway #Books

The Blue Lagoon in Iceland is a nice place and I think worth visiting once if you’re in Iceland but I prefer other places: Hvammsvík or the Secret Lagoon in Fluðir, for example. This is Hvammsvík, where you can go from warm water straight into the ocean:

Finally got around to Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. Great book. Quite different from the shorter (and wonderful) Piranesi, but I enjoyed both a great deal.

We've had expansion of Executive power in the U.S. since the Reagan admin, by each President along the way. Each side cheers their President doing this. Each side is dismayed when the other side uses those powers. The President is not supposed to have the level of authority we seem eager to give.
