Definitely not the most practical. I have just found the history of the country and language so interesting that I wanted to give it a shot!

As for the spelling/letters, ég er að reyna að læra íslensku (but it has been slow going!)

Oh, that's great. My friend Vilhjálmur was also a pilot when he was younger a talked about flying there. I initally wanted to see it because it is a setting for some novels by Ragnar Jónasson but I fell in love with the place.

I love Reykjavík. My favorite little town is Siglufjörður. Such a beautiful place and lovely people.

I saw a truck with him on the side when I was there a couple weeks ago and thought it was a cool mascot.

Just got back yesterday. Great weather most of the time and great people, as always. Enjoy!

Walked past that pig a couple of days ago. Hilarious.

I saw some of this on Kveikur. Couldn’t follow a lot so I had to read about it later but this guy looks ridiculous in any language.

It was open when I walked by. I had lunch at Fröken, though. Had a very nice skyr for dessert.

It was lovely today. I got to town yesterday and this morning walked out as close as I could to the Grótta lighthouse. Couldn’t have asked for better weather.

Thank you—I’m going to go in there for sure. And sign up for the email. I appreciate the recommendations!

I haven’t been there! I usually go to Valdís, but now I’m putting Omnom on my list.

I’ll check that out. One a prior trip I went to Hvammsvík, where you go from a hot soak directly into the North Atlantic (if you want) and that was pretty cold in September. It was also raining. I enjoyed it a lot.

Planning a drive up to Stykkishólmur on one of the next few days. That’s a nice pic.

It’s a cool place and worth visiting. There’s a nice 360 degree view of the capital area at the top. However, I do prefer the National museum at the university. I like the exhibits and how it reels the story of the history of humans in Iceland.

Lovely photo. I’ll be there next week. I’ve only been in Grundarfjörður once but thought it was a great little town.

Such a beautiful place. I was there in winter with a strong wind and it was also a very cold place 😁

Being baptized and going to church is meaningless if you don’t adhere to the teachings of the religion, which many U.S. “Christians” current do not.
