I’ve read before about other winter cities that do something like that. If your sidewalk isn’t cleared, a crew comes out, does it, and City charges you the cost. That could work too.

I agree. Obviously would be a bigger budget item but its time has come. Maybe start with main streets and heavier pedestrian areas.

The rush hour bus lanes on Washington St in Roslindale work well for both bus riders and bike riders so it can be done. But enforcement is the absolute key like you noted. Hopefully we’ll get cameras on buses to ticket illegal parking in the lanes soon, now that the Leg authorized it last session.
