unfortunately they are thanks to elon’s comments today. now the narrative is, and maybe long has been, “they’re both doing it so it doesn’t matter who i vote for.” or “i don’t like the way he’s doing it, but at least he’s doing it.” we need to find additional ways to distinguish our party.

and also: everyone keeps saying “left” as if that’s where they’re “pulling” the party. and the right decries it as the “far left” like it’s some radical notion. at best, it’s center left in the scope of global politics. we’re so america-centric we can’t see it in context.

I am NOT saying people who identify as liberals are gonna turn into Nazis if we keep insulting them - they won’t - but it doesn’t exactly HELP with collective organizing if we’re constantly insulting a lot of people who share our goals of “protecting minorities and defeating fascism.”
