This looks so good!

This is exactly how I feel. I have never before been invested at all in an American mayoral race but I just wanna believe good things can still happen

I really enjoyed those, for what it’s worth!

Great pages!!

My favourite!! I’ve loved that design since I was a kid. One of the best Star Wars ship for sure.

Really looking forward to watching this this weekend. The way they pushed the limited frame animation in the trailer looks so fun, and I love the premise. I don’t get why this couldn’t have been a theatrical release tbh.

lol this is how I learned the summer game fest is happening

lol I may need to rethink how I pump gas going forward, because I also usually give it that ‘one last squeeze’

lol how did this happen??

Haha welcome back!

Im not a 90s kid per se, but I came of age in the 90s and definitely absorbed that cynicism. I can still see the ways that it’s affected me, and I really regret it tbh. I have a deep admiration for people who can be unabashedly sincere.

Man there are so many games I wanna get to! Sadly my petition for a sabbatical to catch up on my backlog was denied.😔

Yes, Alan wake 2 is definitely on the list. Loved the first one back in the Xbox 360 days! (I actually didn’t know there was dlc for Control, though…I’ll have to look into that!)
comment in response to post
Haha maybe I’ll have to knowingly pick something dubious so theres less of a letdown.
comment in response to post
I will for sure! I’m in the middle of Control, which I’m finally getting around to, but when I’m done I think Clair Obscur will be next!

I live in Ontario now but grew up in Alberta and have always thought of Ontario as east but not east coast. Like you said, east coast is reserved for the maritimes!

Yes! I’ve heard really good things from almost everyone! I think I’m in a good enough headspace that I can handle something a bit bleak now haha.

Art for this is looking phenomenal so far!
comment in response to post
I really gotta get to this at some point!

I usually waited around 3 months if the role was exactly the same, but if it was different (animator vs narrative animator vs senior animator etc) I would apply with reckless abandon. I might shorten that if I’d updated a bunch of my reel in the interim as well.

lol Nick you are so welcome

I’ll have to check it out next time I’m in Toronto. And listen, as your friend it’s my responsibility to tell you that I think that IS what you should do with your life savings.

Thank you, Lindsey! I really hope your luck turns around here soon too.

Thank you!! Always a little daunting to come into a new project (especially partway through), but it’s been good so far!

I went back and read a bunch more of this tonight. Love the mutations list, there’s some really inventive stuff in there. Also: some disturbing stuff.

It’s such a cool book, hey? You’ll have to let me know which store it was!

Hell yeah!

Underrated classic!

Incredible work!

It’s bizarre! Was really hoping for Winnipeg to go on a deep run, especially since they are the Canadian team I have the least emotional baggage with as a flames fan.

Honestly it’s barely affordable with two parents. We might need to find an altogether different economic model if they want people to actually choose to have kids.

They would keep their top ten pick and Montreal would get Florida’s! So it’s still possible just really unlikely.

Feels like I have had to vote strategically basically the entire time I’ve lived in Ontario. I wonder which homunculus the Conservative Party will dredge up from the blasphemous depths in the next election so that I once again have to vote just to try to keep them out of power.
comment in response to post
Ok but cbc is calling it for the liberals so you can probably relax now anyway:)

God what a relief. The polls looked good but everything has been so shit part of me assumed it would just go as badly as the American election.

Oh shit!!

There is definitely a wrong answer this time around
comment in response to post
Oh 100%. And I liked the animated series, so it’s not like you can’t do fun things with that era.

Kinda wish it wasn’t set during the clone wars, but still looking forward to it.

For what it’s worth, when I’ve done hiring clarity was way more important to me than whether a resume was pretty or not. If it’s clear, succinct and easy to read you’re probably good! (And I know it varies from person to person but I always cared much more about portfolio or reel than resume).
comment in response to post
Holy shit those are good!

Looks great, man, looking forward to seeing it in Unreal!

I’m in the same boat. I LOVE the way it looks, would love to play some kind of solo PvE or campaign, but a squad-based extraction shooter just isn’t going to happen.

I can see that. I don’t think it’s intentional on his part - he seems really committed to a specific kind of authenticity - but I get it. For my part I kinda like the idea, though I probably like history and old languages a more than normal amount.

I mean they’d have to subtitle it I assume right?
