Had some panang curry for the first time in a long time last night. Remembered just how much I love it.

Oh wow!
Yeah, they really did not like people making reference to that.

Commies will *never* be happy w/ the results of a democratic election, b/c they are committed to the idea that liberal democracies cannot work.
They are not reasonable people.

I went to the 150th of the Gettysburg Address.
The NOS had Scalia swear in a group of new citizens. I had to just walk away.

But really, he's been excellent since the start of May, and I'm gonna keep yelling about it until I feel like people understand that.

I found the court martial.
Over the previous winter, he'd gotten drunk, stole a horse, showed up in a place other than where he was supposed to be, and called a superior officer a "damned puppy."
They threw his ass out of the army. In the middle of the war.

Was researching a family friend's ancestor's Civil War service.
He happened to be in a very famous battery. Bigelow's 9th Massachusetts Battery. They sacrificed themselves to buy time during a crisis at Gettysburg.
But he wasn't there. Was court-martialed, and got sick and died.

Multiple girls in my class in middle school used to talk about wanting to "have his baby."
Not making this up. Hope they did better than him!

(cue sportsball people patronizingly nodding and saying Kaepernik as if he's still topical. But yes. Talk about him.)

Football: But Leftistly
Talk about race. Talk about labor talk about class. Talk about professionalism vs. amateurism, and what that means. Especially in the American South.
Talk about how the Cowboys are evil. Talk about Dan Snyder as a radicalizing figure.

The only time I hsve had a positive thought about a Cuomo involved Ken Burns' Baseball.
We don't need a Joe Rogan of the left. We need a Ken Burns of the left. We need whole new national stories.

Judges cannot call on the army, you see.
And I don't think Lincoln was wrong to do it, in that extraordinary circumstance.
Things are different this time, in that the executive is the traitor.
The idea that Procedure will save us is dangerous.

*the Dred Scott decision, rather.
But I do think the broader point stands. Supreme Court decisions are not as final as a lot of lawyer types seem to think.
The Executive has power, and he will use it.

Are you actually stupid?
I am agreeing that their real wages are going down. I am saying that Democrats are failing to communicate that they know that is happening, much less offering a credible solution.
Fuck outta here.
