Thames Water have been allowed to add another £3 billion to their existing £19 billion of debt. They've run up this bill by paying out huge amounts to bosses and shareholders instead of investing in our water infrastructure. It's time for water to be run for people, not profit.

The poorest fifth of households are spending more of their income on Council Tax than the richest fifth. Labour should immediately re-evaluate Council Tax bands to make them fairer. In the long term Greens would replace Council Tax with a fair system for taxing landowners.
