Jeffrey Sachs's takes are getting boosted by the algorithms lately. He's a smooth talker on the issue of the Ukraine/Russia war, and his goal of like an enduring global peace makes him a sympathetic voice. BUT, his views are best taken with massive grains of salt. voxukraine.org/en/open-lett...

If you weren’t already suspicious of doctrine of double effect reasoning, you certainly should be now.

Today, 20+thousand students and academics came together to stand against the devastating budget cuts to higher education in the Netherlands. The energy was great, and the attendees were inspiring. I’m even allowing myself to feel a tiny spark of hope. #dohetniet #AoB #WOinActie

Hi everyone! I'm a philosopher interested in criminal responsibility, blame, punishment, and neuroethics. Currently I'm researching managing crime by exclusion: whether forcing people to avoid particular individuals or places is a good way to reduce crime.

Looking for work on justice and social worsening (for lack of a better word). Like, if a society is on a more or less downward trajectory due to demographic shifts, staffing shortages in core sectors, or climate stuff what does justice require in terms of how to move further from the ideal? Thanks!

Hey fellow bluesky elect! I’m a Texas-born, Netherlands-based philosopher working on different issues in moral responsibility. Looking forward to interacting on this non-hellish site.
