What a fascinating concept

At least we know we're not alone πŸ˜‚

THIS πŸ‘† This is one of the big reasons I managed survive my severe depression/suicidal ideations when I was a kid. I write because I enjoy it and selfishly want to make it a career. But I also write because I want to be responsible for the distraction that someone like me desperately needs πŸ“šπŸ’™

Okay actually, it was called "snowy land" I remember now. I feel like that name is even worse πŸ˜…

Names are so hard - all the ones i know obviously come from already real people - and what if someone with that name thinks i named a character after them? No, no, we're calling this one Lilly or John again.

So true! I put waaaaay too much thought into character names! And place names?! FORGET IT. I write fantasy and coming up with country/town names is a flipping NIGHTMARE I always either have the place name immediately or have to call it "snowy country" for 3 years (true story)

Also, I love your profile name. For, I too, am bad with names lol

She thought of the time he went bodysurfing on Cape Cod and ended up tearing his chest raw against the rocks. The way she pretended not to notice him crying as she dabbed his torso with hydrogen peroxide. The way he held her after, a few inches between his vulnerable body and hers. #WIPSnips

I freeze, my heartbeat thundering in my ears. Behind me, heavy footsteps tear through dry leaves, accompanied by a cry that sounds like the creak of a rusty door. #writesky #writingcommunity #writingprompts

"Garry the organ harvester"!? Now that is an attention grabbing name. I am IMMENSELY curious as to what this story is about

It's a short one, but I remembered Garry and I couldn't *not* use this snip. #wipsnips #writingcommunity #writesky #booksky #writing

"The Thing That Fell"; Short Story by JJ Robinson II The #WIPSnips word for April 9 is "cry". The three-friends will never be the same--or will they? #writingcommunity #amwriting #sciencefiction #writesky #writingprompts #amquerying

That's so cool! I've never seen Wednesday actually. I've always wanted to see the Addams family, though, even before Wednesday came out bc my mom really liked the original Addams family ☺️

I'd be interested in seeing some of her movies though! Older movies are so interesting to watch. They're kind of like a time capsule, in a sense

Ah...would you kill me if I said I hadn't heard of her before your comment? 😬 I picked the gif for my post because she has a really emotive face

I really wanna watch Severance!! I've heard such great things! But I don't have AppleTV 😭

I use comments in Word too actually! My physical notebook is for To Do Lists and random notes that are manuscript adjacent

That's so cool! Maybe I'll have to advocate the show as my mom, brother and my next family watch. 😊 Ik my aunt and uncle really liked it. (They didn't tell us any spoilers about it, luckily)

I can't recommend the series enough! The two new ones are really well done, and I WOULD call them my fav Zelda games, if I weren't contractually obligated to say TP (for nostalgia reasons)

I am a HUGE Zelda fan! My walls are absolutely covered in Legend of Zelda paintings. And Twilight Princess was my favorite game when I was young πŸ₯°

I still haven't seen Lost, but I'm told I REALLY should see it 😊

I saw that!! I'm really pysched to check it out! 😁 Funny enough, I'm working on a WIP right now that had me doing a bunch of research on crows vs. ravens, so a story with crows in the title feels like a fitting read atm
