Glossolalia is an interesting phenomenon. Earliest recorded instances date from the Greco-Roman period. I'm curious as to whether these practitioners actually go into a trance state and vocalize this, or if they're just cynical creeps making it up as a public display of misplaced piety.

Best case scenario, this kid might be able to keep my grape vines safe from those terroristic Japanese beetles.

And it appears they've rounded up and deported at least 70 US citizens. migrantinsider.com/p/ice-has-de...

Didn't they redirect counter-terrorism staff to assist ICE in rounding up people? And wasn't much of our counter-terrorism capacity DOGEd?

My guess is Iranian leadership has taken the lessons of Libya - give up WMDs and you lose your leverage, and possibly your regime. If I were in their shoes, hell yeah, I'd be developing a nuke ASAP to play as my deterrent card.

Solutionary Rail has been an interesting advocacy project for some time. Should get more traction. www.solutionaryrail.org

Hawley is an opportunist. He will say whatever he thinks people want to hear in order to get power.

This world of full of hateful little trolls who hide behind their computer screens. Confront them in person and they slink off with their tails between their legs.

Of course he did. I'm shocked it took him that long.

Yeah ... between this and the tanker movements, methinks the USA's about to get involved in yet another war.

Debt is relative. The real question is how much equity he has in the assets he's leveraged with that debt, and whether those assets generate enough income to meet debt service and operating expenses.

Typically, these types of affidavits just focus on the criminal acts themselves and don't focus on motives. Motives get explored during trial.

Largest protest I've ever seen in KC since I moved here in the mid-80s. Hopefully this sparks a lot more political organizing.

LOL! Geraldo is such a tool. We all know Trump only listened to wealthy agribusiness and hospitality sector business owners who are worried ICE will snatch up their workforce.

Yeah ... like a MAGA boycott of Wal-Mart will work. In most rural areas in the USA, Wal-Mart is the only nearby retailer for virtually all the basic essentials people need for daily living.

True. Still like to verify, though.

Tough call. Some stocks, some sectors, possibly. I think the better approach is to buy a few put options, perhaps on some key indices.

Not saying the placement of the ad on Craigslist isn't real ... question is whether it's legit or someone posted it to troll. It'd be funny if it were true, but reserving judgment.

Sad to see this important resource fall prey to politics. Thanks for your contributions and keep up the good work on climate issues ... the issues we face haven't magically disappeared.

Reserving judgment as to whether this is real or not. Apparently it's still being checked out. www.distractify.com/p/seat-fille...

Oh, how cute is that! She's cosplaying being a government official!

I have this bad feeling that the military has shifted significantly rightward over the years, and that a good number of them will happily be complicit in helping create and enforce a dictatorship. I hope I'm wrong.

JDV's getting a bit defensive. Elon's tweet about impeaching Trump and putting JDV in the presidency must have touched a nerve.

Oh, what the hell. I'll help you incorporate the consulting firm and work on contracts, I'm good for five years before I want to retire.
