Hahaha how many lawsuits are gonna be filed the moment this goes into action? It's clearly against Title IX. I understand that the Trump administration has given guidance saying that this is ok, it's the judicial branch of our government that decides what laws mean, not the executive branch.

Yeah, let's get rid of all these cheap ass players like PCA, Nico, Ben Brown, Busch. Let's bring in Giancarlo Stanton and maybe we can get Heyward back on his old deal. We need more expensive players. 🤦♂️🤦♂️

Yet another player screwed by Scott Boras. I don't feel even a little bit sorry for him.

Wouldn't the plan be to win as many games as possible this season? 🤷🏼♂️

$30 mil per year for Pete Alonso??? 😂😂 And he turned it down? Imagine how much Dave Kingman would make in today's market.

I get that, but it seems like speculation. Just seems like Sasaki's camp has denied the reports and there really isn't any reason to deny the reports because money isn't a factor.

I find it weird that everyone assumes that Sasaki is gonna sign with the Dodgers (he might) even though the Dodgers have had injury issues with their Japanese pitchers and the the dodgers biggest advantage, normally, (money) is not a factor here.

Yeah, about half of those were HORRIBLE contracts.

It's unnecessary though. And even a low-cost flyer is going to cost several million dollars. Money that could be better spent on a couple low-cost flyer bullpen options with minor league options available.

For me I don't think it's even if the Cubs have the money to make that offer, they certainly have the money. The issue potentially is where that places the payroll and the potential penalties / restrictions that come with having a payroll above the luxury tax threshold.

No thank you. It's time to flex the farm system muscle. USA baseball seems to think that Shaw can easily play 3B, baseball media for some reason doesn't think that he can.

Dumb. The Cubs have had the top payroll in the NL Central every year since TR bought the team. They've been top 10 in baseball almost every one of those years. And top three in baseball for several of those years. Cubs fans really need to move past this because it's just not a true narrative.

That's not what he said. He said market, not money. White Sox and Cubs play in the same market. And Forbes has no idea about the revenues of a privately held business. The books are closed, Forbes doesn't have access to the books.

That's so ridiculous. Why aren't the White Sox in it then? Why not Houston? Atlanta? How about the Angels? Or the Giants? How about the Rangers? The population of their Metro markets are very similar to Chicago.

Really hoping to see Ballesteros in Chicago this summer. Spring would be even better.

I wouldn't think that God would care if the prayer happened at the 25-yard line or at midfield. 🤷♂️🤔😂

Let's not forget that Williams was 0-4 against ranked teams last year at USC.

I would assume that he thought his quarterback would show a little more sense of urgency to get the next play run after the sack. Eberflus and Williams share the blame, I would put more on Williams though.

The guy used to be a very talented player, now he's just an average player. And while he used to be a very talented player, there's a reason the Rockies basically gave him away.
