Make Asbestos Great Again arstechnica.com/health/2025/...

So it begins. 10-year outsourcing contracts for private hospitals? It’s a sell-off. You don’t lock in health equity with private contracts to those who profit from illness. You lock out the public. The corporate takeover of our health system is now official policy. #PublicHealthCrisis #NZPol

Vibe coding is like going to a friend’s house to watch them play video games.

I tried vibe coding last week and it’s amazing to watch an agent come to a solution. But ultimately, I was left feeling empty. What makes coding enjoyable is the act of _coding_. I think that’s something vibe coders wouldn’t understand. #vibecoding #coding #programming #development

My personal take on the other socials based on my bare minimum presence there: Instagram: influencers selling shit Threads: instagram without the photos. But it also has photos. So 🤷 X: far right and far left arguing. About everything.

I like the new Aspire 9.3 additions but the Yarp stuff seems a bit flaky. I’ve had to resort to a separate project for now. It also doesn’t seem to like launching out .net framework app in non-debug mode. #dotnet #aspire

I keep experiencing some weirdness with VS2023 17.14 that I can’t put my finger on. When I debug , I use Edge. When I stop the debug, it seems to close ALL Edge windows, not just the debug ones. It’s happened enough times to make me wonder where that window went. #dotnet #vs2022

People of #NZ When coming to a light-controlled intersection, you MUST drive up to the lines. That’s where the ground loop detectors are. They won’t change if they don’t know you’re there.

From @nytopinion.nytimes.com “Too many Christians are transforming Christianity into a vertical faith, one that focuses on your personal relationship with God at the expense of the horizontal relationship you have with your neighbors,” writes our columnist David French.

I watch every series of Alone dutifully waiting each week for a new episode to drop on TVNZ. And then @stuff.co.nz prints a spoiler on their website announcing the winner. Dicks.

“… Musk is one of the most malignant people ever to hold a position of influence in American politics. His actions, without exaggeration, have devastated the health and security of American society and directly caused the deaths of tens of thousands of people all over the world …”

@maddymontaquila.net love the Lego base plate analogy for describing Aspire.
