It’s infuriating to see how plainly the govt are doing it.
Tell us the system is underperforming, under-invest in it so it actually underperforms, point to it and say “it’s underperforming”, then say “only private works”.
And before you know it, we’re paying hundreds to insurance companies.

The discourse that BlueSky is more left-leaning is neither good nor bad. It is just an expression of how like-minded humans flock together.
I think being surprised that everyone isn’t on the same platform is unrealistic and naïve.

I’ve retrofitted Aspire into a few projects at work and it has already made our dev lives easier.

I caved and decided to get an X account because I figured it would have the faster insights into the outage.
Never got the confirmation email.
Bullet dodged.

I shouldn’t be surprised. They also publish F1 results for overnight races before we can watch them.

A relative of my wife was one of the Police photographers at Grenfell. Sounds horrific.
Maybe politicians who like to “slash red tape” should see the reality of what they’re enabling.

I tried their latest album but it’s not for me.
I do quite like the new Ghost album though.

I’ve been watching Ewan and Charlie’s new series “Long Way Home”. They’ve been to Svalbard.
I think in these times, it would be nice to live there…

I still think about the episode of M*A*S*H (a comedy) where Hawkeye recounts the story of a Korean mother smothering her baby so soldiers wouldn’t find them.
