Watching this from the app! Little bit of loading lag, but that's the nitpickiest of nitpicks- can't wait to use it more this coming week!

Hmm. Login doesn't seem to be working, just flashes in place. Tried both email and handle. Also looks like 1password can't autofill, not sure about other pass managers but the overlay might not work. Are these things I should be logging in the feedback form or is it a me problem?

Pimsleur isn't as game-ified, it's more like a classwork style, so it may or may not be as impactful- I only manage it because I enjoy languages so much so it bypasses my adhd. YMMV. Either way, there's no substitute for immersion, so don't stress too much- the best option is the one you can use.

FWIW the duolingo AI thing only impacted certain audio lessons, none of the actual content- it's still a shitty practice but the content is still (mostly) reliable, it's gonna be the best free option If you're willing to shell out a bit, I've learned most of my languages via Pimsleur

I think most know it's a sovereign nation, but just like almost every other nation they think of it more as "territory waiting to happen" the imperialism runs DEEP

It is! It gets you a new perspective on security too, which in turn helps keep you safer. Plus never having to worry about losing your house keys is pretty nice lol

I joke about how reading a lot of Douglas Adams at a formative age impacted my language- or more accurately, how it instilled in me a love for language similar to that which a butcher feels for a cow- but if I'm honest I think reading Hyperion when I was 11 probably did more to my psyche πŸ˜
