Excellent analysis. I grew up in a Republican family. My great-grandfather and his brother served as Cabinet Secretaries (Navy and Interior) under Rep. Presidents. But the entire family left the party when the "moral majority" took over.

They chose it because no one in Monterey would have them! I and many others called the first 3 venues to protest. But to be fair, the organizers did not reveal the purpose of their dinner to the final venue. And, on the last venue, they did not reveal the location until you bought your ticket.

I was one of the people who called each announced venue to let them know the purpose of the meet and greet. The organizers only told them it was a "dinner." For the 4th venue, the org. did not even reveal the location until attendees had paid for their ticket. Disgusting that J6ers were celebrated.

I called Social Security this week and got the same message. I finally gave up holding and called my regional office instead. I was successful at reaching a real person, but with cuts in personnel expected, I don't know how long that will work.
