Massive Marvel and rock music fan with a taste for politics and a love of democracy. Once politically middle of the road, now about as Blue as you can be since the GOP decided to be led by an orange fascist imbecile.

It's that, plus not wanting to walk away from the power, money and influence. I think the longer you stay, the harder it must be to give it up.

So NATO will adapt. America, however, will lose its international influence, its position of leadership on the world stage, and most importantly its allies. Should Russia or anyone else attack the US, we stand alone. Why does the GOP not understand that? Or do they? 2/2

Little bit rude, but fair enough. One thing though. I didn't express a preference for the status quo. I'm theoretically open to a new system of government. I'm under no illusion that we are going to see that happen though. We can work towards better but we have to deal with what we have right now.

We can't just go on allowing the divide Trump, Elon and MAGA have created to decide the future of America. Political disagreement was never about hating each other. We had a balance and we got shit done regardless of difference of opinion. We fail to find out way back, we let Trump win again. 3/3

The vast majority of people who voted for Trump are massively misinformed by a lackluster, corrupted MSN, or historically loyal to the GOP, or didn't trust the Democrats to get things done, or other equally half-assed reasons, but they still didn't vote for this mess, nor did they want it. 2/3

Problem is the word "viable", my friend. I agree, a third party option would be ideal, but it would have to be one that a) had a serious chance of winning and b) was able to pull votes from both the left and the right. Another "Dem" party simply ensures Republican victory by splitting the blue vote.

Putin and Musk are working hard to destroy the country and Trump is just happy to be the front man, take his bribes and count his money. bsky.app/profile/josh...

Mike, to be fair, I take Wade's point and if this was about disability then I'd be agreeing with him. Wade, as I said, I do take your point, but mine was that the photo, rightly or wrongly, illustrated old white guys clinging on to power way beyond what is right or sensible, hence term limits.

Exactly that. The GOP was on the verge of collapse even before Trump so given the lack of new blood in leadership positions this last few years, it's a dead party walking now, lost in the MAGA madness. That's said, time for Dems to learn that lesson too.

Funniest part is that Mitch broke two fingers and sprained his wrist from the high-five.

Absolutely and we can do more. Every single Registered Dem can reach out to their County Dem Party. Are they ready to work - get involved or ask why aren't they organized to do the work that must be done. We're ready to help. Full organizing & training program at no cost from BlueDotsNetwork.com

Kingdoms are toppled throughout history. The key is never let this one get established.

... a lot of the scooper lies that were made up about behind the scenes drama, fake reshoots and the like, seem to have mysteriously made their way in reviewers' opinions, which I think is a shame. Like people were being prepped to go in expecting it to be bad, y'know? Just a pity, really.

Absolutely, and to be completely clear, my earlier comment wasn't specifically directed at the review you posted, which I haven't read so can't fairly judge. There's been a definite campaign to see this movie fail though, the whole "woke Captain DEI" thing from the usual suspects, and...

Fair enough, but when you read review after review using the same talking points, phrasing what they didn't like in the same way and often even using the same incorrect scooper nonsense about production bullshit that never happened, you start to assume an agenda, y'know?

I don't doubt it! I'm a big rock music fan in general and I've got loads of other bands I love to listen to but my number one listen is always Pearl Jam. Really can't see that changing.

I'm definitely an all eras fan. You see people complaining online about how their new music isn't the same as the 90s stuff, but why would it be? The guys are over thirty years older now. I appreciate having a band that's grown up and matured with me, y'know?

Okay, I'm the last guy in the world to worry about typos, because I make a load of them, but I swear that missing 'n' was there when I posted my comment above. Someone stole my damn 'n', BlueSky!

Haha, I actually meant with the cover photos. My first one was Ten era and I've been updating every week or two with later band pics. PJ through the ages! But almost the same. Bought Ten, Vs, Vitalogy and Merkin Ball together one day in my early teens and never looked back.
