Indeed!
Back in the days before the internet, I’d give the shop owner $50-100 dollars and ask him to select some LP/CD’s for me: Amy Denio, The Art Bears, Richard Pinhas/Heldon and Naked City are just a few of the “new to me” albums that I still appreciate today.

You are a cowgirl hater, WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!
I’m born, raised and still live in Texas and my loathing of the girls is more so now that ever!
I can’t wait for football to start 😎

All of that to say, with ESPN laying off on-air talent over past few years and using that money to get the NBA away from TNT, ESPN was wanting to make a splash next season and now they have. I don’t think it happened by accident!!!

The two individuals at ESPN who created the longhorn network financial failure are the same two who went behind everyone’s back to Move ut and Oklahoma to the SEC
(w/help from SEC Commish Greg Stanley……no one knew it was coming)

In 2010 someone offered the Big12 a TV Network, university of texas said no and instead took $300M from ESPN in 2011 starting the longhorn network which nobody watched, instant money loser. At the same time Texas A&M and Missouri leave for the SEC.

I’m not sure the fanbase has much trust from the “sex-in-the-workplace/domestic violence” allegations detailed by Sports Illustrated in 2018 and confirmed by NBA investigation.
Cuban stepping away from controlling interest……then new management unloads Luka, not sure how fans have any trust?

I’m all for SY, especially the SYR records! And all of the SY related solo projects and spinoffs!!!

And I have a conspiracy fact that I will tie in to ESPN, I just don’t have the time now.

You don’t think anyone is doing that??? Didn’t you know the Cowboys are winning the Super Bowl 😝
JK - but Dallas sports radio is treating this like they will be the Warriors for the next decade……and it could happen but I sure wouldn’t bet on that!

It’s a time commitment, but there are some great nuggets over the two and a half hours:

I was introduced to Liles back in 2006 via Beta-Lactam Ring Records. The Dying Submariner, randomly choosing Black Mamba -Beauty -End …..believe there were 16 in that Black series?
2008 was magical with Liles contributions on Huffin’ Rag Blues & his collab w/Dianna Rogerson.

“alot of ways to screw it up”
I’m guessing there is a large contingent of Mavs fans this morning that would love to trade the #1 pick to the Lakers for Luka 😬
Look, Flagg could be everything with a bag of magic beans……no need to plan parades before playing his first game.

You’d be surprised at how many purchase and never even open. Some do this waiting for the perfect hour so they can listen while being uninterrupted
while others put it off for what ever reason and never get around to it. Same can happen with CD’s and cassettes.

This is a great approach, because I see lots of “know-it-alls” throwing around the term, “generational,” and it’s possible Flagg might prove to be.
But just 6 years ago New Orleans drafted another Duke standout with the #1 pick.
Don’t believe anyone calling Zion Williamson generational today🤔

It was all the way brutal. They wouldn’t allow him to put any weight on it. I don’t recall Tatum ever suffering a major injury before?

Then a must-win for GSW tonight! Granted, GSW trailed 3-1 vs OKC in 2016 to win that series……it’s just not something you see often in the postseason.

I watched it again a few months ago, its greatness is how simple it is. No special effects or explosions, just believable characters who were very believable……need more movies like this!

I was 16 when this came out. First listen was at a friends house, we listened on a boombox while we shot baskets on the driveway and his dad grilled burgers. It was one of those perfect evenings.

I’ve always held out hope that SY would record & release another SYR. May 20th will be 15 years since SYR9: Simon Werner a disparu was released.
Last I heard Coco Gordon Moore was at least talking to her dad again, so who knows?

Does the blue light have a purpose or is it just something fancy to look at? Is the water just recirculated or is it also refrigerated??

We had Funeral back when it was released, oldest daughter picked up Neon Bible and I’d say that was the last thing I’ve heard until last night. They have been off my radar but I’m seeing they’ve steadily been releasing albums. I’ll give the new album a listen this week.

I noticed the pic you posted doesn’t have the GiGi soundtrack, it’s just a white square.
Way back when I made a ton of mixtapes, I’d start a side with Sysyphus Pt1 then transition into Death In June, SPK or Attrition……the live Sides of the album just sounds remarkable to my ears.

Yeah, that really would have been something……but at the same time my guess is it would have ended up being something totally different than we expected. Unrelated:

On the same, The Eye DVD is an interview with Aranos who has recorded with Stapleton, Liles and Tibet. I love his attitude and enthusiasm for being outside and working with his hands:

Love me some Hagar, saw him for the 4th time solo this past August, my first time was back in 1984. Also saw him twice with Van Halen. Yeah, the VH issues have been numerous, I’m just glad Anthony stuck with Sammy so he can continue doing what he enjoys.
