Instead, this lab & others are being cut in a very weak attempt to reduce Govt. spending. I want NSF and NASA and NIH to spend our tax dollars researching cool stuff -- because it benefits our country and the world much more than the original investment.

That was an awesome livestream! I'm editing a podcast right now with a Harvard professor who studies (1) how our solar system formed, and (2) how our climate changes over time. This is EXACTLY what I think our tax dollars should be funding.

This is a good take. When I was doing research I always expected data to be available, but it was always a process to piece together from different sources when each source had its own hurdles to jump through

Thanks for sharing! Think you may be interested in a video I recently made about Sea Level Rise, with info originally released by NOAA, EPA, and other agencies: youtu.be/kTkGIxV3n-c

This video is for anyone wondering what #GovernmentAgencies like NOAA produce! I go through why so many agencies care about sea level rise, how it impacts typical Americans, and 4 major takeaways from this report:

This is awesome! I've been similarly interviewing scientists to explain their work to the public. Not nearly as successful as you've been, but this is great to see!

Thanks for sharing!! This part hurts my podcaster soul: "these political brokers play equivocal roles in the polarization process."

2. When we have a better understanding of how the world works, we can do a better job with projects which DO impact humans directly. * Ex: I love protecting communities from earthquakes... But this wouldn’t be possible unless thousands of people spent their careers studying how soil acts! 🧪

I got the chance to interview someone at Harvard today, and I felt right like I was back in first year Earth science classes, where every day felt fresh and exciting as I learned about our universe!
