I understand how you feel at times, except it's with my mom that has dementia that sometimes wakes up around that time since that's when my dad goes to work.

The Vampire Killer and also Dracula are the huge reasons why these games happens later on, including what happens in RoB/SotN. I just can't see how logical you would be able to adapt these later games without altering it hugely in some way that makes sense.

Again, I would say, if you want to experience the actual lore, it is best to play the games yourselves.
