Where’s that BRINGING OUT THE DEAD disc from? Been having a tough time locating a blu.

They’re all perpetually fucking bored and the only thing that really gets them going is that old accumulation game - power, status, equity.

This exactly, I think. I don’t know any billionaires but I do know a few very rich people and they’re mostly tedious incurious morons with no real passionate interests.

This is helpful if true but is it verified? Is Fancy Fancy Bear armed forces? I ask with a straight face in these fucked up times.

No but I did see video of the troops at Bragg applauding at the speech about LA being a shithole that needs to be put down.

It’s one of the things that scares me most about the left’s chances these days.

This is good news but also, I am so goddamn sick of 51-49 elections with earthshattering stakes.

Like, this guy isn't normal, and we do have to talk about the fact that a certain group of uber-wealthy people have invented a fictional promised land and they're using all their money and power to drag us there, kicking and screaming.

Revolting’s the word.

I was just about to respond to this thread, saying that I’m waiting with bated breath and how dare you get sidetracked with long Bluesky threads.

Hamm is so watchable that I finished the season and don’t entirely regret doing so BUT I was low grade angry the whole time.

Who wants this? Really, who? What problem are you solving for with this uncanny valley, viscerally off-putting nonsense. The actual human Dubliners I know are some of the most charming and sweetest people I've ever met and you replace that with THIS?! Just say you don't like paying wages.

Sorry, I can't imagine how enraging this must be. And I've genuinely never heard of a plane turning back like this for non-weather reasons. All sorts of precedents being set this year on all fronts. And that stated reason sounds very suspect to me.

Wait, you were in the air and almost to Toronto and they turned around and went back to LGA?! Am I reading that right? I didn't know that was even a thing, short of disasters/weather events. Truly what the hell is going on with air travel.

I mean, shit, Musk is here illegally if you apply even half the legal scrutiny they've been subjecting hapless migrants to lately. If he really wanted to, he could have ICE frogmarch him to Louisiana.

I'm basically sending this post and others to the many people texting me "I told you so" today. All this means little to nothing as long as he has those contracts and, crucially, his underlings are embedded in every single govt agency.

People saying they love "binging Netflix" when asked about their hobbies was the beginning of the end on that front.

Yeah, that pencil comparison keeps coming up and it's absurd. Also, that bit where she scoffs at people who call it 'machine learning' and adds 'but really it's AI' proves me to that she doesn't remotely understand the tech either.

Bit too convenient that it's a quote from someone who is a) dead b) revered by the people you want to convince c) famously retro (thus making his supposed endorsement more weighty).

I don't know David Lynch so I can't say what sounds or doesn't sound like him...BUT...I do not believe this conversation happened. Sounds like carefully engineered journalist-bait quote from conveniently dead + revered artist.

The exact thing for credit unions that the FDIC does for banks, I think.

Alright, you guys convinced me. Will be watching it the next lazy holiday afternoon I get.

Haha that's what I thought. May still watch.

Been meaning to watch this for years. Legit good?

GDT did say at one point that there would be one. Hoping that hasn’t changed.

Epitaph for the species right there.

Great sequel material to The Last Seduction. I’d watch this movie.

Makes sense. It's an expensive one so I'm holding off until I hear a little more from others about the transfer.

You snag the WAKE IN FRIGHT Umbrella 4K yet? If so, thoughts on the transfer?
