People like Musk and Trump are jealous of people like Mark Kelly because not so very deep down, they know that he's a much better liked, more decent and honourable person than they could ever dream to be.

And there was me thinking they were acting out a new Three Stooges episode someone had written.

So he's appealing to people, that can't afford to buy eggs, to go and buy a Tesla? 🤣

They can't even afford eggs

Trump sure does have an uncanny knack for being able to fuck just about anything up.

Trump can't even keep himself in line and Putin is playing him like a fiddle.

Putin was was born after WWII. In any case, the USSR first conspired with Hitler to carve up Poland and only became allies with the UK and US when Hitler turned on the USSR; not exactly the most reliable ally

January 6th alone, should have turned people off him, never mind the hundreds of thousands who died from a pandemic that he downplayed (his own words on tape to Bob Woodward). Kamala's proposals for first-time buyers, health and start-ups were clearly better for the people BUT Black Woman = Bad

As I've read elsewhere, "Believing a small group of billionaires are suddenly working tirelessly for the benefit of the working class requires a spectacular level of stupidity."

Never understood the attraction., but then I guess that if Trump is your idea of a strong leader who cares about the US and the man on the street then Rogan might be your idea of intelligent/funny

Don't underestimate the lengths Trump will go to in order to maintain power, such as ripping up the constitution or endorsing Don Jr as the next republican candidate.

Well, if you can't offer them the carrot then maybe the stick might work. Make it law that office work must be carried out at home and then impose compulsory purchase orders on non-compliant companies for the office space they won't really need.

And with less strain on the transport system, the money allocated to new rail projects can be better spent. Sandwich shops, dry cleaners, etc. will eventually move to local areas with cheaper business rates so even those businesses will win and local town centres will thrive

Government intervention is required to promote, through tax incentives, the conversion of office space to residential. Watch how quickly they'll then change their tune.

I often start earlier and work later because I no longer have to waste time commuting. I don't pick colds or flu as much either. Where possible, companies should be encouraged to let their staff wfh with tax breaks so that empty office space can be converted to much-needed housing.

It's because it completely ignores Tolkien's 2nd Age story (even those parts they do have the rights to) and often contradicts it. An opportunity missed.

If world leaders were serious about cutting emissions, they would welcome cheaper EVs (and make them tariff-exempt), irrespective of whether the manufacturers received government funding.

Further away than that. There's no telling what the orange nazi might do, once in power.

I'm in full agreement but unfortunately all the rules have changed and in his position I would be disgusted at what the USA has become and look to salvage whatever modicum of comfort I could and then move as far away as possible.

Of course it's capitulation but it's fairly mild. If Biden ordered the military to take out Trump & Team ,as an official act and therefore with full immunity, because they're considered a threat to democracy then that might be considered corrupt by some.

Morals no longer have a place in the US. The voters were clear about that on November 5th. Under such circumstances, I don't blame Biden for pardoning his son.

You really need to do something about your education system in the US. It's only because you have sooo many dumbasses over there that people like Joe Rogan have as much influence as they do.

January 6th, Muslim travel bans, US embassy to Jerusalem, tax cuts for the rich and over 500,000 Covid deaths, all in his first term, should have been huge ****ing clues.

You may be spoilt for choice by that time. I still have a Nissan Leaf that i bought from new in 2013, over 60,000 miles & no battery degradation; saving it for the kids when they pass their tests but still use it for short hops.

I travel all over Europe and whilst you do get the occasional Tesla Supercharger at motorway services, for the most part they're in towns and retail parks. I'm now sticking with the EV6 until someone comes up with a solid state battery that solves the dendrite growth issue.
comment in response to

In addition, on long road trips, I don't want to get off the motorway and head into to town to use Tesla Superchargers. I tend to use Ionity, Total, Fastned, Free to X and Engie at motorway services.
comment in response to

I've driven the Model Y and EV6 extensively on road trips and there's a world of difference in charge times. Scanning the card adds a few seconds.

MAGA supporters, for the most part, already can't afford them and Democrats won't touch them at any price. Great way to piss off your potential customers, Elon! Now you're thinking!

They're still overpriced for what you get and only the Cybertruck has 800v battery architecture. From experience, the Kia EV6 & EV9, Ioiniq 5 & 6 are much better cars
comment in response to

Teslas, aside from the ridiculous Cybertruck, don't have 800v battery architecture. Kia EV & EV9, Audis, Hyundai, Porsche and Lucid Air do so they're far better.

CNN are shitting themselves. Losing audience share and worrying that Trump will shut them down, they're clearly bending the knee. We're seeing a slow car-crash into Fascism right before our eyes. Fascinating yet scary. All brought about by one man's desperate ploy to avoid prison.

As media has evolved and politics has become more polarised, I wonder whether it's time for democracy to evolve past rancorous party politics, such that we vote for individual policies (prioritised & costed), then decide the people best to enact those policies; a technocratic pick and mix approach.
