One of the most memorable games during my time working for the Tigers. It will always be a perfect game to me.

One of the best bands ever is back with another great album. Spinning this one on repeat today. 🐙

Archer, an air taxi service that does not exist, was just named the "official air taxi provider" for LA28. www.torched.la/up-in-the-air/

Wolf Alice is SO BACK! youtu.be/lBGcloF8LIY?...

STOP PUTTING AI INTO EVERYTHING!

Saw this and thought my oomfs' feeds could use this

Again, @awalkerinla.bsky.social is asking the important questions about the upcoming LA megaevents: www.torched.la/what-if-the-...

Japanese Breakfast put on a fantastic show last night. A much needed few hours of “melancholy jubilee”. #ConcertThreads

Wow.

The White Stripes' induction into the Rock Hall poses a big question: Will Meg White show up?

Just watched the finale of “You” on Netflix. Gotta give praise to blakeneely.bsky.social for the music choices. The closing song was *chef’s kiss*

Random Saturday night thought: @npr.org needs to have @bellyofficial.bsky.social do a Tiny Desk concert.

It does. Now who wants to give me a vinyl copy? 🙂

It’s Jackie Robinson Day. @craigcalcaterra.bsky.social calling out MLB’s blatant hypocrisy is what I needed to start this morning off.

Western Michigan hockey alum John Saunders is looking down and smiling after their first national championship.

Watching episode four of the @netflix.com documentary on the 2024 Boston Red Sox, and I gotta give credit to Jon Ernst for using both the UK Surf Mix and the original version of “Wave Of Mutilation” by @pixiesofficial.bsky.social as the soundtrack of Jarren Duran’s story. Perfect choice.

“There’s No Future In Optimism” - the opening track from our forthcoming album 'Let All That We Imagine Be The Light' - is out now. 🐙 garbage.lnk.to/TheresNoFutu...

I love them all equally.

Music break for your timeline from Nilüfer Yanya. Love this song! youtu.be/fsxf541UI-8?...

RIP Val Kilmer. Not included in the @nytimes.com obituary is a mention of his outstanding performance in “Real Genius”, an iconic 80s movie that most of Gen-X has seen a thousand times. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/01/m...

This is for the creator of today’s “Connections” puzzle @nytimes.com:

This is very smart www.thebulwark.com/p/how-to-thi...

Breaking News: The top vaccine official at the FDA abruptly resigned, saying that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “misinformation and lies” were irresponsible.

One thing that constantly amazes me is the sheer number of people who are collaborating in all this. I had no idea they lived among us, waiting for their chance at destruction.

Some good news to cleanse the timeline!

Now is as good a time as any to remind everyone that the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City (@NLBMuseumKC) exists to tell a deeply important American story -- one that is ultimately about triumph. Our history, good and bad, is all we have. Learning it is our duty.

Not sure I've seen anyone point this out yet, but per @triumph.boggsmemorialleague.com, Major League Baseball scrubbed the word "diversity" from its former "diversity and inclusion" page sometime after December 14. Left is it via the Wayback machine on 12/14 right is now.

I've asked Major League Baseball's Vice President of Communications if Major League Baseball has any comment on the DoD erasing Jackie Robinson's page from the site and changing the URL to "DEI Sports." I'll update this story if and when the league weighs in. www.cupofcoffeenews.com/cup-of-coffe...

I have seen the most cursèd jeans imaginable and now you have seen them too. Please guess to yourself what their price is and then click the link in replies to see how close you were.

My first piece for the New York Times, in this Sunday’s magazine. Digital animation and print illustration by Nata Metlukh. Many thanks to Kate LaRue, Senior Digital Art Director & Editor, who reached out to ask if I’d write about how agoraphobia can make a mundane trip extraordinary.

His mother says he has been tortured by authorities at the airport. The reason, if any, for his detention is not known.

Finally some good news!! www.nytimes.com/athletic/620... Ted Lasso to return for Season 4: ‘Ted’s coaching a women’s team’

When I ran for Congress my own staffers (the career pols) literally couldn't believe I just wanted to help. They kept trying to unearth non-existent skeletons in my closet. They were shocked by the lack of scandal. The non-career staff and volunteers got it. Politics is twisted thanks to money.

They're literally doing this right now, you useless old fuck! America is going to end up fighting off a fascist oligarchy in a Norther Ireland-style bloodbath, or in a modern Spanish Civil War, because of your craven incompetence. Fuck you.

The free world is going to meet in Paris, and America won’t be part of it.

This article both freaks me the fuck out and makes me feel like a crazy person for feeling like the only person constantly screaming about it. www.cnn.com/2025/03/07/c...

The WNBA as an entity continues to not have an official presence here, a stunning decision particularly how the league and players are treated on X. But if you want to support a franchise that has been posting here recently, I'd recommend the @tempobasketball.bsky.social. Start play in 2026.

Man. Alaska is lucky it's in Alaska. If this happened anywhere else, people would go crazy. Fewer than half the dogs will be able to finish this race -- five mushing teams have already dropped out with sick or distressed pups. www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/...
