Assuming we get to Sunday...

New from me: Tax law should be based on neutral principles. But key language in the pending House bill is anything but. It's shamelessly gerrymandered to go after endowments disliked by MAGA's social conservatives and NatCons, while sparing others. /1

Channel14 reports that tensions have risen because of alleged stalled nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US. They also claim Israel is preparing attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. Britain has allegedly already warned ships in the Persian gulf.

Thanks for these kind words. (And as you point out, I was never a Trump voter.)

This photo was taken in North London where I lived & to the right, you can see a nuclear attack warning siren on a pole. On the opposite side was the stop for my bus to school...that siren cast a long shadow...

I wouldn't count on that...Its a tactical move not a strategic one...

“90 deals in 90 days.” Where do we stand on this one?

One to keep an eye on. Could all be a bit of hot air/negotiation tactics etc, but not one that the Australian - and British - defence establishments will take lightly.

Cute...But a basic rhetoric student could tell you that one thing is not the other... I really tire of politicians who try to score points with really bad rhetoric. You only create "gotchas" for yourself...

Everybody would like to own it... But maintaining it would be a cost of its own...

I know without a continuing maintenance contract our medical machinery would be impossible to maintain on a spot basis...First...Find someone who can repair it. Next, write blank check...

A career in medical equipment repair can pay $65,000 annually and offer job security and growth in a field that's facing a labor shortage.

I so enjoy the childish agitprop that reduces all problems into a "class struggle" bc it benefits the ideologically motivated who get paid to promote it. Keeping ppl ignorant of the real issues is the objective..."Just think the way we tell you...you're 'oppressed'..."

Then maybe pay people for the use of their material...You don't lose your copyrights simply because and "AI" company wants to use your output to train its machines...

Important caution from a legal scholar of these issues, @debpearlstein.bsky.social

@bradduplessis.bsky.social @ctreese2.bsky.social @sandbaggerone.bsky.social How to blind your intel operations...Politicize them so they only give analysis decision makers want to hear. This is insanely dangerous to US natsec... www.nextgov.com/cybersecurit...

When seasoned intel pros get canned for telling the truth, that’s a red flag. Intelligence isn’t supposed to bend to political agendas- it’s to inform them. Firing people for not backing a shaky narrative breaks trust in the whole system. #TruthMatters #politics www.nextgov.com/cybersecurit...

NOAA’s climate website, Climate.gov, could be shut down after most of its staff were fired, according to a news report Wednesday. More at cwg.live

Palantir knows who killed JFK.

I was only ever on base for one POTUS visit (Obama to Camp Lejeune) and the only vetting was junior ranks get first dibs. I don't think he got even a single Corporal, E-3 and below got all the spots.

New follows!

What a smug conceited clueless dick...

Feel that giant sucking sound as the govt sucks the money out of your wallet? Because the only people who pay tariffs are consumers...This is one of the largest tax hikes in US history and nobody in the finpress will call it what it is...
