First off, Thank you for doing this. More of a team/org than an individual but I'd like to shout out the folks at Voter Choice NJ www.voterchoicenj.org

NJ loves you too! (I mean, we have Danny Devito, so by extension....)

One of those "Worst Person You Know has good point" moments. One of life's little tests.

I hope this is a domino that moves good jobs and businesses into NJ proper. You shouldn't HAVE to live within a certain distance of NYC to make a good living for your family. It makes it more difficult for towns in other areas of the state to thrive.

Please encourage them to do so if you can! In many cases, the alternatives give them a better cut, too!

I'm not *very* familiar since I don't do any kind of writing on these services, I only read them/subscribe, but this Wired article seems a decent starting point? www.wired.com/story/best-s...

I think this would be a great spin off of your existing podcast ministry, but I also understand the idea that you might want it in person

Community building and resources then, with additional internal work vis a vis prayer, worship, testimony, and embrace of Christ as the "higher power"? I can dig it

Tracking with you, but I think we need to be explicit and actionable on "Kingdom work". Also a slippery word.

I'm struggling to identify the verb here. Is the goal nonjudgmental community for practicing, for lack of a better phrase "sobriety from sin"? Is the goal to organize community care and solidarity? Both? (And implicitly, do you need to *do* anything in the exterior world to be Christian?)

Would you also want "steps"? Trying to build on the idea here and I appreciate the value in "working the steps" so I'd like to see an analogue there but I can't articulate a path to "holiness" the way I can "sobriety"

....AA can be very heavily Christian itself.

It was a genuinely positive experience and I hope more people consider them as a way to see the city! They even have tap to pay now!

Lived in NYC for a whole year using the buses night exclusively. It's equally doable (more so if you have any kind of mobility difficulties) and there's *multiple* good tracking apps!

Been enthusiastically watching your stuff for months now! I love the energy you bring to your video essays! They're great, and you're doing amazing. Thank you for the care and hard work you're clearly putting in.

It's equally accessible on the mobile web settings and works in the same way.

The debt is packaged together so it's basically-impossible to buy a specific person's debt to forgive, but orgs like Undue Medical Debt are able to buy it and then straight up forgive it.

Once a hospital system or clinic or whatever has the debt on record, they often don't want to go through the specific effort to collect it themselves, do they sell it to 3rd parties for some percentage of the total amount -usually pennies on the dollar- for money immediately.

For sure. I don't stream in any capacity so I couldn't speak to compatibility there unfortunately! I imagine it would be a priority though, given the focus on gaming.

My current understanding is that they were going to make it available for the Asus ROG Ally handheld/ deck competitor. I would LOVE if it were a general release though!

It still requires a base level "I know what graphics card I have" level of knowledge so it's not as truly beginner friendly as I would want, but it does a lot to pre-package drivers and maintain its own updates in a very approachable way. Feels Mac-y but has Proton.

I don't think valve has officially released a PC compatible version of Steam Os (there's the old one from the "steam machine" era but that's different from the one that ships on steam decks). I'd recommend Bazzite (bazzite.gg) as an alternative

As a technical professional, my only use case for chatGPT is running little demos for people who want me to add ChatGPT to things to explain why it's unwise to do so.

Honestly, a metal walking cane or crutch. It's a genuine disability aid so they can't prevent you from having it in public, and there are genuine self defense programs (usually marketed to seniors) describing proper use for physical defense as a more vulnerable person.
