Chicago based long-haired freaky person. Never used twitter (but I have one); have been off social media for nearly a decade. I like it here so far - feels like the old internet, where chill people post chill shit. https://soundcloud.com/rowans_music

But how could they make billions in profit each quarter otherwise??? The question then becomes: why is there no public option? A: because it would outcompete private insurance and put them out of business.

Pls stop, Malört was a bad joke that’s now gotten out of hand. The Jebroni Negroni is as far as I’m willing to take it.

Probably to drive subscriber growth on Gamepass, no? Unless Xbox really thinks they can compete 1:1 with Nintendo. That’s crazy that costs have ballooned ~240% the past decade without a commensurate unit sales increase. That can only come off as poor financial planning to me.

It was flaccid, rage bait performative slactavism at its most active measured. It’s a shining example on why Trump got re-elected.

Obviously. Why is healthcare now “iffyed” and there’s not a realistic public option that streamlines costs between providers and patients?

Shady, but the ads on your website are even more so.

All the people in this thread ragging on getting an American citizen home after being wrongfully detained sound exactly like the impotent outrage I was reading from MAGA folks when Biden got Griner home. Horseshoe theory is real and it’s unbecoming.

Healthcare is an inelastic market; can’t shop around and get quotes when you need to go to the ER. Providers, hospital groups and their VC funded financiers charge obscene amounts knowing this. Insurers negotiate collectively and bring rates down. Ask why we don’t have a public option.

Hill dawg is not that bad, imagine what the world would look like today had we had 8 years of her as president. Surely you understand perfect is the enemy of good.

2024? Try 2016. They were drunk in love with the ad revenue of “can you believe this piece of trash is running for president!?”, and normalized his campaign, giving him the most coverage during the primaries. @nytimes.com has been a rag for years now.

Damn, Tough Tony sounds like a rude dude.

Nothing wrong with negotiating in the interests of taxpayers, but this clown is out of his element. Hopefully next time we vote for an administration with basic financial competency.

If these charlatans had any intention to make the gov’t more efficient and lower expenses, they would have started with broken healthcare market. Why hasn’t anybody talked about a public option seriously in the past 15 years?

The floors are gorgeous there, but the Tiffany Dome (sorry not sorry) takes the cake as perhaps my favorite feature in any Chicago building.

Good day to try one of these for the first time at least!

feckless, lugubrious attitude considering the power and scarcity of the office you hold. You have 💯x more juice than Matt Gaetz ever had in office, and this is how you use it.

Metra been steady coming up since they got that new CEO with an engineering background. Love to see it.

these people are so performative; thank god their maliciousness is matched by their incompetence. Even so, what a waste of calories.
